EACH |  Item SBS-095004

What is it?
PuffCuff is the only clamp for thick, curly hair. It was created to keep your hair securely in place without causing any unnecessary tugging or pulling like with elastic bands. This unisex hair clamp will not cause hair breakage or damage and it works with all types of thick hair - including locs, twists and braids.
What makes it special?
  • You can achieve stylish or professional looks without causing headaches or hair damage
  • The PuffCuff is the go-to Unisex styling aid for all occasions work, run or play
  • The only hairclamp made for thick, curly, or textured hair
  • Easy to use, durable and affordable

1. If you have extremely thick hair, you may want to dampen it with water or your favorite moisturizer

2. Gather hair as if creating a ponytail.

3. While holding hair, INSERT (we stress INSERT) the teeth of one arm of the PuffCuff into the hair at the base of puff, as close to the scalp as possible.

4. While still holding gathered hair, use free hand to insert teeth of the opposite arm into hair as close to the base of puff on the opposite side of the head.

5. Do NOT let go of gathered hair. Insert both arms into the hair at the base of puff, push arms toward each other overlapping the hooks. Gently pull arms in opposite direction to interlock hooks and close the clamp.

6. Let go of gathered hair. Fluff and enjoy a painless puff!

Gather your hair as if you're creating a ponytail and match your fist size to the suggested PuffCuff above. For example, if the opening is your fist is very broad, you will need a larger PuffCuff. The diameter of the base of your ponytail should be approximately the same size as the PuffCuff you wish to use. ApplyPuffCuff with curved sid down for tighter grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic for 4c Hair I am so happy that I discovered the Puff Cuff. I did go in a bit skeptical about how well the base of my puff would be "contained" and was definitely impressed. I am so happy to throw away the headbands that would give me headaches and create tension on my edges. I'll wear this throughout the entire day and I don't feel like my head is being snatched away from me and I never have to adjust it. Would absolutely recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Good bye headaches! This works great!! It's a perfect solution for us afro puffs wearers. And it looks really good with my hair which is thinner now that I'm in my 50s and gives me a nice full Puff

Rated 2 out of 5 by from PuffCuff is a joke This is not a useful tool. It was difficult to learn how to use despite the graphics. It can easily break/poor craftmanship and its difficult to gauge the size needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PuffCuff My second order since COVID started. This is the large size, it came 2 in the pack. I had to order another set because the one I was using broke which surprised me, with normal use it didn’t last long and my other my dog got it. Overall I love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pay attention to size Can’t use it. It’s way too big. I thought it was a small one. It’s the size of a banana clip, but round

Does this snag the hair? I’m scared to buy it because of how it looks lol

Asked by: CourtneyC1019
It may look scary but it's pretty easy to use and does not snag the hair. I've had my ouff cuff for over 2 years now and people are always amazed by how neat it keeps my hair and I like the fact that it's adjustable, you don't have to wrap it around your hair to where it gives you a headache or aggravates your edges. I highly recommend!

Is this sold in the stores?

Asked by: Khalligirl
It is sold in some stores in more metro areas. I would call ahead to ask your local Sally Beauty if they are one of the stores that do regularly stock this item.

Does this work for long curly hair?

Asked by: IraStark
I not sure. I have shoulder length hair, it is fine but I have a lot of it. Just make sure you order the right size. I ordered the larger one and it didn't work I should have ordered the junior one.

Yes. My adult daughter has THICK dreds past her waist line and was amazed how comfortable the 5 inch cuff was. Durable too.

What size for chin length hair?

Asked by: Puggiemom
It depends more on the thickness of your hair. Scoop your hair up in one hand and measure the space. Go to the puff cuff site and the size of your hand grab will show which one you need.
