Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Daughters hair is super soft. I will say that the treatment and the conditioner looks exactly the same though, just different bottles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this I love this stuff! I am mixed and have naturally curly hair and this makes my hair super soft and manageable. Most women who have curly hair have been led to believe they are not allowed to have silicone in their hair products and are unaware of the benefits of water soluble silicones.

Can I use this daily?

Asked by: Emilie Ulibarri
I wouldn’t. There’s many other daily products to use but this is for an intense treatment. Using it every day is not going to speed up the process and basically waste your time. Also, it’s not healthy to wash hair daily.

Is this a leave-in treatment or should it be rinsed out.

Asked by: figgie1964
If you only put a small amount, you can leave it in. I like to put a lot (a mask) and then leave it over night so when I wash it in the morning, it feels revived and refreshed, soft and strong again.

I need to loosen up my 10 yr old daughters hair. It is all balled up and tangled. I have used several products from sally . I am now using the cholesterol cream and now starting my 2nd tub. It isn't working. The balls are to the scalp. No one will cut it

Asked by: Joan of ny
Hi, I know I'm a bit late but if you're on the second tub of the Cholesterol Cream and her hair is horribly tangled, something tells me you are using wayyy too much protein in her hair. I would first switch to a good moisturizing deep conditioner without protein. Grab a good detangler (maybe Honey Baby Knot my Honey or a spray detangler) and use a wide tooth comb to comb out her tangles. Then gently wash her hair in the direction it grows (run the shampoo down the length of her hair). Follow up with that moisturizing deep conditioner under a plastic cap for 30 min. In the future, be very careful of how much protein you use. A lot of natural hair is very protein sensitive! Always focus on moisture 1st and then supplement with a protein treatment every few weeks or whenever your daughter's hair needs it. Good luck!

Do you rinse the intense treatment out?

Asked by: lmc0516g
I just rinsed it out, my hair was great. If you wash it out you're defeating the purpose. I love this stuff.

The ingredients of the intense recovery treatment has silicone Quaternium-26. From my knowledge silicones are not good for natural hair.

Asked by: Lovebird
SILICONE QUATERNIUM-26 is created from mink oil, not mineral oil. So that I like. However I’m still not buying because 1) there’s a lot of it in the product and 2) every product except the shampoo has a silicone.  Personally, I’m not so against them that I completely avoid silicone, but it seriously doesn’t take that much to coat and seal in benefits. Having it in that many products is just unnecessary imo.

This sure has a lot of chemicals for a natural product so I am wondering if all the alcohol will have a drying effect and make hair harder to comb?

Asked by: Katrina7
These alcohols are actually good for your hair in combination with the other ingredients. They are actually "fatty" alcohols that help maintain the texture of your hair.. It is important, with any product you use, to research the ingredients so that you're more knowledgeable about them. Seeing the word alcohol in a product is a bit confusing if you don't know much about the different types.

Should you rinse out the Intense recovery product after the15 minutes?

Asked by: Nonni621
Yes, you should rinse it out after 15 minutes. It's not a leave-in mask. I put a shower cap on and rinsed it out after 30 minutes, but that's because I've had some damage to my hair from braiding. After you rinse, you should follow up with the Tangle Slayer while your hair is still damp. As for the Slayer, it's a leave-in so you don't need to rinse it out.
