Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very ashy and dulling for me I have the usual reddish hair that comes from lightening from a medium brown to an ash medium blonde with no ammonia. This toner was a little bit too ashy for me (never thought that would ever happen!) Also dulled my hair, no shine. Disappointed. Will keep looking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I don't usually do reviews but my hair was orange yellow and the girls from. SALLYS suggested to try the Toner shampoo and let me tell you it worked on the first wash. I really recommend this shampoo if you have brassy hair color.

Would this work with brown hair as well? I’m going for a Rogue grey streak look in front and want to get the copper tones out of my long brown hair and let the salt & pepper grow in.

Asked by: Linzerbinz
It would help. I’m a level 4 and it takes the Orange/redness out

Can anyone tell me the difference between the cool blond and the ash blond? I'm trying to maintain a platinum blond and am unsure which would be better

Asked by: SjO_2019
ash has a gray tone to it. Cool blonde would probably be better for platinum

I just bought this and wanted to know if I should use my regular shampoo after using this lathering toner? Or can this be used as a shampoo? and should I buy the conditioner that you use with this too, or can I use my regular conditioner instead?

Asked by: Micaela94
I wouldn’t use regular shampoo after using this toner or you’ll wash off the pigment that’s leftover to neutralize the brassy tones. I use this shampoo every other wash. Use gloves and avoid the hairline. I have the conditioner but I don’t use it. It’s as pigmented as the shampoo, and I don’t want to risk having my hair turn purple in some spots. Regular conditioner works great for me.

I just dyed my hair blonde and it’s still alittle yellowish. My hair stylist said to come back in in a week to tone again. Can I just buy this and do it my self or will this not fix the yellow tone I have going on?

Asked by: Ashleyr2
Yes! Deffinately. I tried all the purple shampoos and this finally covered the orange and gold tones. I have silvery color hair. I leave on for 3min.

I have brown hair and bleached hair.  I’m assuming the process would be  Bleach - wash hair - use product in shower and leave in for 3-5 minutes and wash out. - and have expectations that my hair will be a lighter?

Asked by: brianna12345
Your hair will not be lighter from the lathering toner (but would be from the bleach process).  The lathering toner helps change/adjust the tone of lightened/bleached hair.  I use this every so often to take out any unwanted brassy tones in my bleached hair.  Smells good too!

Has anyone tried using the ash blonde lathering toner with the cool blonde conditioner? I don't think it could ruin my hair. Could the cool blonde conditioner offset the ash, if it gets to ashy or purple/blue? Thanks!

Asked by: DDC12345
It worked well for me. Any of them tend to get a little purple if you leave them on too long but I liked the blonde with the ash.
