Rated 5 out of 5 by from OBSESSED As a habitual artificial red head, this stuff is a GOD SEND. letting it sit for 5 minutes in the shower is perfect for a refresher on red hair. No more cold showers!!!! I recently gave the magenta a try for a "rose gold" effect on my brown hair and it did not disappoint! However, I found better results putting it on my dry hair like a masque for 10-15 mins, then rinsed and washed. OB-SESSED.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! It worked so well, for conditioning and coloring! It left my hair feeling great. I just wish it came in more colors, like a purple that is a better purple ( I used blue).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love love love this product Every time I go into Sally’s I buy multiple.. especially if they are on sale. I originally bought this as a additive for when my hair started to fade after going to my hair dresser because it was getting to expensive. I applied it once, in the shower and left it on for approx 5 minutes and OMG. I had no need to go back to my hair dresser because it looked exactly the same. I now use this every day or every other day to keep my hair vibrant. My ends are platinum normally, and if I let it wash out it comes completely out almost at a very very dull pink. I love this product, 50/10 would recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not work on white hair I purchase 2 weeks ago to color roots between colorings. My roots are white and the descriptions states that you use as a conditioner and can be used on dry hair, can't see the roots if my hair is wet. So I applied it on my dry hair with a brush and then used my fingers as it it was conditioner to get well thatherd. I rinsed it and no die came out and then I dried with a towel and still no die. I let my hair drip dry. The roots were not covered and my hair felt greasy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than most semi-permant fantasy color dyes! I have bleached hair that is very light but not completely white. I purchased the magenta as a suggestion from one of the store associates as I have been having problems getting my rose gold/dusty rose hair color to stay. This was ideally to use to refresh my color. Going off past experiences with other colors, I tweaked the instructions. I used gloves, and applied this to dry hair instead of wet how I would a typical hair dye. Wrapped hair up in a bandana and let it sit for about 45 minutes. Um, wow! It wasn't the results I was expecting but this stuff is potent! It was definitely true to shade. You can see color in the water when you wash but this has staying power for who knows how long! I used head and shoulders to strip it lighter, then the vitamin c method after that didn't fade it much. Now it's a light pink color, more for the tone I was looking for. I can't comment on the other shades, or even just applying per instructions on wet hair. But I sincerely hope they make more colors of this bc it's fantastic. I plan on getting the purple and blonde to (hopefully) make a dusty mauve. Goodbye over priced unicorn hair dyes and Uber damaging permanent colors that require a developer. There's a new kid on the block who is rocking my world and my hair. Easy on the wallet, conditioning in the hair. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 bc it's labeled to boost and revive color and that can be misleading to someone who wouldn't want long lasting, vibrant, bright color or possibly mistake this as a temporary option. Will add picture of immediately after using if I can figure out how to crop out cover my face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rich Color Pinks I regularly have my hair highlighted and toned for a rose color. It washes out as all pink and red tones will do. I use this product every now and then to make the color vivid and intense. It isn't permanent. It isn't going to stay vivid for a long time because red and pink will never be permanent. It is beautiful if done with this in mind. I first wash my hair, dry it and then apply this color directly on without dilution. I went from a pale pale pink to a bright intense rose/fuschia color using the Rose Quartz semi-permanent Ion Brights. I condition with a hair Kerotone treatment and it feels super healthy and clear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked wonders for me. The other week I bleached my level 4-5 warm, slightly reddish brown hair to a level 11/12 white, platinum blonde only to be told that it wouldn't fly at work... the manual only said no bright, or pastels. Whatever, so I filled and then colored my hair back to a chocolate brown with ion demi permanent in 7rc and 5n. After 3 washes it was clear that my hair was over-bleached and would not hold any color, as it was a warm, dark blonde. Desperate, I went to Sally's to see if there was something else other than shaving my head and tried pigments in natural brown to make up for the fading cuz putting more developer on my hair was a no-go, and it worked! I did a strand test, then went all in, leaving it on for only 2 minutes before rinsing, and it came out a nice, neutral medium brown color. I washed my hair twice to check the staying power and it pretty much stayed put. So the plan is to use this as needed while I grow out the bleach job. What this adds up to is that if you have bleached/permed/porous hair, then be careful... especially with the deeper, more saturated colors as they may not come out. I have very short hair so I could apply in 20 seconds in the shower, so DO A 3 MINUTE STRAND TEST BEFORE SLAPPING IT ON YOUR HEAD! My over-bleached hair felt much softer, and I'd highly recommend this for color enhancement, or slight color corrections, as long as it can be applied very quickly/evenly. If you're hair is f*@!×d like mine is, then I'd try diluting it with regular conditioner to buy you more time before the hair "grabs" it, and it becomes too dark, or intense. This is a conditioning color treatment, not a conditioner that adds a hint of color. Hope this helps...

I just tried the red hot for the first time and it stained blotches on my face and has stained my shower, how on earth can I get this off my skin and shower? Thank you!

Asked by: strmstar7
I use the scrubbing bubbles with bleach and it’s been so helpful! You just spray it anywhere you have a hair color stain, let it do it’s business and rinse after a while.  I haven’t had any color that it doesn’t work on

Can I use this with a developer

Asked by: Katherinerose29
No. This is a conditioner. It is used to deposit color and condition the hair. It will enhance your color between treatments. Wear gloves when applying, as it is heavily pigmented (hence the name), it will stain for hands for about 48 hours.

will this work on white roots?

Asked by: 99warbears
I'm mostly Grey. I used to be medium brown. I use an ion permanent purple all over and use the neon purple masque to touch it all up. It covers my Grey roots. I leave it on for at least 10 minutes. I would test a strand first.

Can blondes use the blue to tone down yellow and brassiness??

Asked by: Redtree71
I'd use the titanium mixed with neon purple instead and leave it in for a short amount of time on wet hair. If you're concerned, strand test first.

Is this to remove hair pigments? Or to bring our the color to make it more intense?

Asked by: Ashley69
These are intended to enhance color by depositing a small amount of semi-permanent pigment.

Does this product work on white hair, my roots are white and I was hoping this could be used between coloring and it did not wash out and when I dried not a dryer, there was no die on the towel. When my hair dried there was no dye, where did it bo?

Asked by: warmbears
Yes! Maybe you washed it out too soon. I’ve used the nat brown, magenta, and golden yellow to cover whites and grays.  I apply the color to dry hair for 30 minutes before washing out. Works like a charm. Good luck!

Can this dye unbleached hair? I have dirty blonde/light brown hair.

Asked by: Samllama27
Yes. Keep in mind that it's not a permanent color. I use the magenta in my long, unbleached, dyed, medium reddish-brown hair. My red hairdye fades, so this is nice to pep up the color. It's very vivid! It lasts through a few daily shampoos, and fades out within a week, if you wash every day. It leaves your hair soft, not stiff, and doesn't stain your pillowcase.

Asked by: Steph071914
