  • Ideal for permed, tinted or relaxed hair Rebuilds hair structure for six weeks Stops hair breakage
Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment is a unique treatment formulated with magnesium and modified proteins which fuse into the hair with the application of heat. The result is that breakage is drastically reduced. ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment is a salon service product unlike any product available for at-home use. During the process, ApHogee treatment hardens into the hair, dramatic evidence that something special is occurring.
  • Shake well before use. Gently cleanse hair with ApHogee Shampoo. Rinse thoroughly and towel blot. Apply enough ApHogee Treatment to thoroughly saturate hair and comb blend for even distribution. Leave hair uncovered. Do not use a plastic cap, and seat client under medium heat dryer. (Alternatively, a hand dryer may be used, but hair should not be agitated while drying.)

Note: When ApHogee Treatment is dried into the hair, the hair becomes extremely hard. Do not comb or brush hair while ApHOGEE Treatment is dried and in the hair. Re-wet and gently rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Apply ApHogee Moisturizer to hair and scalp. Leave for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Proceed to next service or style as usual.

  • CAUTION: Please read and follow instructions on back label carefully! Use Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer after use of the Two Step Protein Treatment. Requires heat for best results. When protein has dried, do not bend or agitate hair. Always rinse thoroughly with luke warm water and follow with Balancing Moisturizer. For color treated hair, it is best to use prior to freshining color. Two-Step Protein Treatment is for Professional Use. For best results a hooded dryer is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets these curls together Very strong and repairing protein treatment. I use this about once every two months and I can see the difference in my hair strength and curl pattern after use. My hair just feels stronger and this gets my curls all the way together when they are going through a limp damaged phase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my 4c hair My 4c hair had been breaking off and shedding incessantly since the summer. I mean the kind of breakage where hair comes off EVERYTIME you touch your hair. I bought this product a week ago (well, the 3.79 packets) and used it with a spray bottle and let me tell you! This stuff is magic in a bottle. My hair has stopped breaking off ncessantly and feels stronger and more alive lol I'm so thankful for Aphogee. Just follow instructions and follow up with a deep conditioner afterwards. 100% recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I had bleached my hair to the point of no return, or so I thought. I used this and it stopped the breakage and made it so that I could actually brush my hair. It’s amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXTREMELY pleased I've had long hair my whole life until I went on a really impulsive dying streak a few months ago. I got my hair dyed and bleached four times in two months (yes, I knew this would be the end of my hair), and I ultimately had to chop it up to my chin. Even though the cut helped a lot, I still had some damage on the ends. I have been using Olaplex shampoo, and my naturally wavy (2b) hair has been VERY flat and straight for weeks because my hair always flattens WAY out when I use sulfate-free shampoo. I've been extremely frustrated by this, and considered switching back to a shampoo with sulfates, but I really want my hair to be as healthy as it can be, so I did some research and came upon Aphogee. I am SO SO SO glad I did. I bought this yesterday at Sally's, and I used it right away. I bought the Aphogee shampoo, two-step, and moisturizer, and a deep conditioner from Shea Moisture. I'm not sure why, but the mixture didn't smell bad at all to me, and I hardly found it sticky, which is contrary to almost every review I've read. I'm not sure if they improved their formula, but it seems perfect to me. I really let it harder all the way when I blow-dried it, and didn't touch it AT ALL while I was drying it. The results once I air dried my hair were amazing. This is the first time I've seen my natural texture in so long, and I'm absolutely thrilled. Not only did it give me my waves back, it also made my hair look and feel as healthy as ever. PLEASE don't hesitate to try this product, you won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff works magic I’ve been using this for years every time i do any bleaching of my hair and i have no damage no split ends etc. I should have very damaged hair due to the bleachings i have put my hair through but since i have been using this my hair is uneffected by the bleach. I used to use it once a week because it wouldn’t last longer in my hair now i’m only needing it once a month to 2 months. It has not ruined my hair from over use it even says on their website it will not damage your hair using it sooner than every 6 weeks but it might not benefit it either. But since using this every time i bleach now i have not had hair that breaks off of melts and it’s just like magic for my hair, i use the balancing moisturizer right after than i do a deep condition. It’s great just follow the directions on the bottle and you should have great results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Results not Great to Use Pros: Results are fantastic! I don't know yet that my hair is having less breakage but it looks and feels so much healthier. I don't feel like my hair gets knotted and tangled nearly as much as it did prior. I used this after using a clarifying shampoo and my hair looks so shiny, healthy, and clean. Very happy with the results. Cons: This stuff is gross! The smell is awful and so is the texture. It's very watery and hard to use on yourself without making a mess. Then it gets super sticky after applying. When you dry it til it becomes hard it practically sticks like a rock to your scalp and isn't the most pleasant thing. Plus, if you get it on your skin like I did, you'll have some sticky and crusty mess on you. Wear a cape...I didn't but wish I had. Overall, this stuff if horrible to use but the results are well worth it. I will probably use this every other month and I think the bottle will last a while. It's expensive but you will get a lot of uses out of it (and I have bra strap length hair). Very pleased, just wish it smelled better.

So I forgot you needed to wash your hair before putting this on my hair was dry. My directions where ruined will it make a big difference? I am bummed and afraid its not gonna work . I made sure i used a lot

Asked by: Worried dry
The treatment should be applied to clean hair to ensure the product is able to penetrate all the strands. If you have a lot of product buildup the treatment may not be as effective because it can’t penetrate through the buildup on the hair strands. You should apply to clean hair and follow up with a good moisturizing conditioner.

My hair was soft and smooth but frizzy. So did permanent straightening. After that my hair has become very dry, frizzy and breaks a lot. Can I use this?

Asked by: Sandy262
Yes, but use with caution, better yet have a professional to apply it.  Certain medications can cause this to happen too, check with your doctor.

Is the step one safe to use with a blow dryer? On what setting..hi or low? Directions say it’s ok to use hand held blow dryer but hair should not be agitated...what does that mean?

Asked by: Michelle R
It means: don't blow your hair all over your head, in all different directions. Try to keep your hair in a uniform manner as it dries.

Is this a wash in rinse like I received at salon?

Asked by: So damaged
Not quite. You apply the protein treatment to your hair, and dry it until hardened. Then you carefully rinse it out.

Can i use it with heat head cap

Asked by: Rahma1155
No the protein must dry hard with a blow dryer or hard hat dry to bond to the hair. It must be completely dry then rinsed You may use a heat cap with step 2.
