Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shock Therapy I have used this treatment a couple of times to get the yellow brass color when I have my hair done. This seems to have done the job and would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product! I had very bright, true red hair for years, think manic panic pillar box red with a dash of burgundy. Except permanent. My hair is naturally light & over the years I tired of having to re-dye every 2-3 weeks. So I decided to go back to natural. Blonde hair has its own challenges, getting the right tone, touching up roots but I still think it’s easier than the red. After color removal I bleached and toned using a variety of Wella timers until I hit upon the right one for me...which happens to be T10, soft blonde. In the summer I add some lightest beige blonde to make it more golden. In the “in-between” I was struggling to find a product that kept my hair bright...then I came across THIS. I love Love LOVE this little packet! I use it after washing, just add water and after it up in my hair, leaving it in for 5-10 minutes, then rinse and condition. It works so well. Took my hair right back to the light popping blonde tones I love! I’ve also found that it works well for those times that you leave the toner on too long & end up with the dreaded greyish tone. It helps to lift the toner more quickly...at least in my experience. At less than $3.00 a packet, it’s cheap to try. And when it’s on sale it’s usually BOGO so you can really stock up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a difference! I bought this on a whim a few weeks ago after I got my hair done. I am going from a dark brunette to a light blonde, which takes multiple sessions. Unfortunately my hair pulled orange and I didn't want to wait between sessions for a fix. My hairdresser suggested purple shampoo and conditioner to tone it but I wanted more. For the price I figured I might as well try it. When I was bleach blonde ten years ago my salon would give me Malibu C treatment to try. These are pretty much the same thing, but with Malibu they wanted me to use heat - aka sit under the heat helmet. I would do it at home with a shower cap and hair dryer but I couldn't find the exact MalibuC they used to give me (if anyone knows which one is for blonde toning plz let me know!). I used this last night for 5 minutes then showered with shampoo and conditioner as usual - exactly 2 weeks after my dye. My hair did feel a little extra dry but with this Pittsburgh weather, who knows what caused it. So I let my conditioner sit a little longer. Today, my boss asked me if I got my hair dyed the next level already because it looks so much lighter/less brassy. She truly thought I had a hair appointment last night because of the change and is now asking me to send her the product and everything. This product is awesome! You won't be upset with this purchase. For the price you truly can't beat it. It's a true in-between color helper and I plan on buying more of it soon. I may even buy two packets and mix it directly with conditioner to soften it up a bit like a true toner. I only wish I knew how long to wait to use it again, as I could see it being a little harsh if you over use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says... I'm extremely happy with the results of my hair after using shock therapy. I have bleached hair and between using a toner that I didn't like and over toning with purple shampoo, I was ready to get all of the stuff off my hair and start fresh. I had already chelated my hair, but it didn't quite take everything out. So I followed up with shock therapy. It pulled 90% of of the excess toner and purple shampoo out of my hair and took it back to almost the exact color it was right after bleaching. Which I'm very happy with now. And I'm ready to go back to my t18 toner. :-) I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 because the directions say to leave it on 3 to 5 minutes. But after reading other reviews, I decided to leave it on about 10 minutes, which did the trick. They should really add to the instructions to leave it on a bit longer if needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blonde boost! Inconvenient packet though :( This works well to boost my blonde. It brightens it and makes it look baby blonde. It’s 5$ a pack in Canada , so I only use before a date / weekends . Bad part : the little packet is so hard to open/ dispense in shower!!!! It needs to come in a tub with a pop off attatched lid and an attatched scooper .

Have a lot of ash towns in my hair with this brighten it up for me I’m still scared to use it

Asked by: Shelby1234
I unfortunately do not recommend this. It turned my blonde too banana yellow and I ended up having to do a toner that still didn’t seem to correct the effects. Now I have put brown thick low lights to blend...it may have a different effect for others, but I have a few extra packets that are going in the trash.

My hair is now naturally white. Purple shampoo does not remove the brassy spots. Will this work on untreated hair? Thank you.

Asked by: Maggiepk
I have never used it on natural hair but I would say it’s worth a shot especially if the brassiness is due to hard water or product build up. Maybe also try a clarifying treatment!

Will this remove hard water stains from hair ?

Asked by: Orangehair1
Hard to say. If your hair is green due to chlorine and hot tubs or pools, I have no idea. This product does brighten hair by removing some deposits, such as built up spray, conditioner and some color enhancements like ash. If you have made a color mistake, Color Oops is great.

I have naturally blonde / strawberry blonde hair. During the summer I put Sun-In into my hair to lighten it up a  bit.  I was wondering if this product would work to lighten my natural hair color?

Asked by: Andrea87
I am in the same boat. I have natural bright blonde hair in the top layers and a somewhat darker reddish strawberry blonde underneath. I have been fighting hard water issues and I feel like my hair has been continuously grimey looking after the winter, even after rinsing with things like lemon juice, which normally works great. I tried this product, and I would not go so far as to say it lightened my hair, I still have the post winter darker roots that we blondes tend to get. However, my hair does FINALLY look clean! So it did brighten it up in that way so that it can sparkle on it's own again. Without being weighed down by the minerals and water crud.

I have brown hair with some blonde high lights. Will this products be okay to use??

Asked by: K_jack99
I only used this on my whole head. I went from Dark brown to bleached light blonde. And used this in between bleaching to refresh my blonde before using a blonde toner. I'm not a professional so I'm not sure what it will do to the brown in your hair, but it will renew the blonde.

Can you use this product on bleach hair? Looking for more white not pale yellow.

Asked by: Sassy white
Yes I use this product on bleached hair. I have a lot of iron in my water so it turns my hair yellow. Bold blonde make my hair bright again and not yellow.

Yes! I have high and low lights and this product does not affect the low lights, but definitely brightens the blonde. One of my favorite products for sure!

I tried this amazing packet yesterday and what a difference! I was wondering how often can I use it without damaging my hair? For instance, every week or 2 weeks, or longer in between treatments? Thank you

Asked by: Rachels1975
I use once weekly just to freshen up my color. Also use protein cocktail after every shampoo. Hope this helps
