  • Gently cleanses hair and scalp Removes product residue Preserve moisture

As I Am Coconut CoWash is the way to cleanse your hair most of the time. This light no-suds conditioning cream gently spreads easily throughout your hair and removes residue including all of the things you've used to style and maintain your coils and curls.

Coconut Cowash is different from any other because it contains a special blend of natural ingredients that work to promote healthy hair growth from the follicular level. Maintains moisture, adds more moisture and helps hair retain moisture until your next cleanse.

Makes detangling a breeze and rinses easily from hair. Gentle enough for daily use and is safe for color-treated hair.

"I recently used the Coconut Co-Wash by "As I Am" and I am very pleased with the results. I applied the product once all over my hair and combed  it through, then rinsed it out. It left my hair bouncy, soft, and tangle free. Enjoy!"

  • Wet hair thoroughly. Rub a liberal amount of As I Am Coconut CoWash within palms and distribute throughout hair. Work product through hair and massage scalp with fingertips as you would a conventional shampoo. Carefully detangle hair with a wide-tooth comb. Rinse well. Repeat only if necessary to remove excessive product build up or for further scalp cleansing.

  • Follow with conditioning. Use either As I Am Hydration Elation Intensive Conditioning Treatment or As I Am Leave-In Conditioner. Use as needed on an intermittent basis with Cleansing Pudding+ Sulfate-free Moisturizing Cleans.
  • Key Ingredients: Tangerine, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Saw Palmetto and Phytosterols

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nope Smells amazing! I didn’t feel like it really got my hair clean. This is no better than using a regular rinse out conditioner. I don’t know why it has so many good reviews!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving it Been loving this so far. I’m one of the few curly gurls not on the CGM train. I love clean hair and this works so perfectly for my every other day washes without stripping my hair. I definitely recommend a great conditioner after because this alone is not enough for moisture craving hair. Hit it with Curls Blueberry leave in to detangle before you start your curl cream. Soft amazing curls with this

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good co-wash Just bought this to try since I follow cgm. So far I love it! Smells good and keeps my hair hydrated! Only thing I would change is the packaging....the tub of cream is hard to manage in the shower. A pump would work better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This Cowash is amazing. I’m mixed with dry & colored hair. Some damage. I did research for natural products & this stuff is amazing. Makes my hair soft & my scalp stopped itching. I stopped using shampoo. Note, this doesn’t make bubbles which is okay because it’s actually cleaning my scalp & I love the smell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boyfriend-approved I bought this for my boyfriend who has 3a-3b curly hair, and he loves it. It’s great for washing, detangling and frizz control while maintaining moisture and curl pattern.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleansing and Moisturizing The As I Am Coconut Cowash has helped my hair to grow in the past, so I've returned to using it as I grow out my hair again. I find that it's a very moisturizing cowash that does a good job of cleansing most buildup from my hair when alternated with shampooing. However, when I was strictly cowashing, it didn't seem to adequately cleanse my hair and scalp. Surprisingly, it seems to do well with preventing a buildup of silicones in my hair but hasn't done as well with cleansing butters out of my hair.

CAN YOU USE THIS ON RELAXED HAIR

Asked by: ARRIONNA
Yes, you can use it on relaxed hair. I have relaxed hair and just used it tonight for the first time. I absolutely loved it! Pairing it with a deep conditioner and leave-in conditioner (different brand from As I Am), my hair feels AMAZING!

I cleansed with this cowash and applied argan oil then shea moisture leave-in, but am still experiencing tons of frizz. My hair type is 2B. Any suggestions?

Environmental factors may be affecting  Do you let your hair dry naturally and do you drink enough water? My hair calmed down when I stopped using all products with alcohol and started drinking more water. I rarely style my hair with heat and if I do use protection spray prior to application. I only use the coconut cowash and leave in conditioning spray with coconut and olive oil  by Eden. I will smooth ends with product like Wen on high humidity days. Hope this helps.

Is this supposed to be like wen?

Asked by: Angiefam7
In my opinion it is way better than Wen. I have tried many formulas of Wen, not impressed. Very expensive, and the ingredients aren’t as natural as these. I love As I Am for my wavy, balayage, Caucasian hair. Never leaves it gross or greasy. Although I still use a conditioner after, never tried it alone.

I dye my hair regularly will this product strip the color.

Asked by: Patsy328
Less than washing your hair with shampoo would. It has no sulfates so if used to suds you won’t like it. It is very protective conditioning with nice coconut smell. I love it but takes getting accustomed to if you normally use a shampoo and separate conditioner.

Do you use this as a conditioner, or do use conditioner and this product?

Asked by: Blujay56
I use it as a conditioning wash. A secondary conditioner is not necessary unless your hair is very dry or damaged.

So I bleach my hair and I was just realizing that my hair has gotten thinner and dryer and I hear this was a good product to restore your hair. I was just wondering how many people is has worked for and if I should try it. thanks let me know :)

is this product good for dread locks or is there a better product u prefer

Asked by: ginger690
I would not recommend this for your dreds, because the slip it gives your hair will cause the locks to loosen and become fuzzy. There are several great natural products made specifically for dredlocks, such as the product suggested by Sally Staff above.
