Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth application and no headache! I have been using the Ion line of sensitive scalp developers, and I finally gave this brand of developers a try. I'm very glad that I did because I was getting headaches from the strong smell of the Ion developer. This brand had a much milder scent and it didn't give me a headache. It also seemed to mixed better with the Ion demi permanent dye I used- smooth and no chunks.

What dose it do lighter or dorker

Asked by: Sonia Petterez
It can do both, if mix with lighting powders it will lighten hair up to about two shades under heat. Brown to copper highlights.  If mixed with color a lower level like medium brown it will deposit the color.

I just recently dyed my hair a pink. Well, it came out wayy to dark. Can i put 10 volume in my hair straight just to lighten the color? Or does it have to be mixed with something?

Asked by: Jackielegs
No my recommendation is to see a professional. They should be able to correct it. Using malibu cpr. To lighten it the safest gentlest way.

IS THIS GOOD TO MIX WITH BLEACHING POWDER(QUICK BLUE)?

Asked by: clarke 31
Never use 40 developer unless you are working with orentail hair. Ten will work for powder bleach just will take much longer to develop, an example which you would use ten would be on a virgin application where you may take a little long to cover a whole head and only do half the head with ten and then the other you would use twenty as it isn’t staying on the head as long. Depending on the hair type and integrity o would usually pick between 10-20 when lighting just to be on the safe side!

is there bleach in this product

Asked by: lovelygirlll
In salon care 10 volume crepe developer is mostly peroxide alcohol and acid. These ingredients will bleach your hands if in contact for a period of time. My son uses 40 volume to whiten deer antlers. Use gloves recommend.

Hello, I am looking to purchase the wella t18 toner and a volume 10 developer to use with it but volume 10 developer cannot be found with the wella brand . Is it safe to use a different brand's developer or should I dilute wella volume 20 developer ?

Asked by: Lemonlana
Any 10 Volume cream developer will do, diluting 20 volume into 10 would work But I do not recommend it as if you dilute too much you will have a week developer and if you do not dilute enough it will be too strong , plus the ratio of water will make the final solution too thin and more difficult to work with,
