Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have Used For Over 7yrs I have used over seven years, professional hairstylist would say that it would take 40 minutes to develop. I do 15-20 minutes at the most and I’m going from dark brown to blonde.

I used box dye hair that lightened my very dark brown hair a few shades lighter last summer. My hair is growing back to its natural very dark color again and I want a bold hair color but can’t do that with my hair color. What developer would work the best

Asked by: Kate4321
If your planning to lighten up your hair you can use the 30 or 40 developer. If your planning to get a darker tone use a 10 or 20 developer.

What creme developer should I use to make my hair lighter. 20 or 30 with a light brown (5N/511) wella dye.

Asked by: paulchristel
20 is healthier for the hair, and it'll do good on light brown just make sure to tone it.

Is there an area where reccommended amount for your hair length?

Asked by: Redheadnewlook
If you have short to medium hair length, then using 4oz of color and 4 oz of cream should be sufficient. If your hair is past your shoulders and down to your mid back your better off using 8oz of color and 8 oz of cream.

I have black curly hair and I want to go nice bright red color, but with out damaging it to much. Can I use a 10 developer? Or do I have to use 30 because my hair is dark?

Asked by: CurlyHairGirlS
You can definitely use 30 but all that will do is process the hair faster so the color will lighten quicker, 30 vol does cause some damage so if you want to protect your hair even if it takes longer to dye then I recommend 10 or 20 vol, those leave the least amount of damage to curly hair but keep in mind, it will take longer for your hair to process

what is the difference between 10 volume creme and 20 volume creme? which one do I use for my husbands hair?

Asked by: Linda698
10 Volume is very light and non damaging but will take longer to process. Volume 20 should develop faster with little damage to the hair. Volume 30 will develop the fastest but will do some damage to the hair most likely.
