Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Very Well As A Developer Should. It's a developer, not much to say. I purchased this brand to use with the L'Oreal Quick Blue bleach. It mixed in really well and did it's job.

I have blackish and brown thin hair what volume of developer should i use to dye my hair blonde ?

Asked by: lunacorazon
20-30 volume developer should be able to properly lift your hair if left on long enough, but not longer than the recommended time. 10 volume developer would be too weak and wouldn't lift your hair to the desired level and 40 volume developer, though would lift it lighter and faster, would be more damaging to your hair and possibly cause breakage.

My hair is box dyed - I recently tried to dye it with the L'Oreal Hi Lift and it didn't work. Would it work better if I added this developer?

Asked by: Kimberly10028
You always need a developer when lightening hair. It should tell you in the instructions though. If your applying to your scalp only used a 20 vol developer

Why does this product says to not used on relaxed hair? Will the developer damage the hair?

Asked by: ariloves
Yes. I would recommend getting your hair colored professionally since your relaxing it. Schools have great prices and do a good job. Hope this helps

I mixed the loreal 30 volume developer with the loreal hicolor in red violet. My hair stayed black with a red tint. Why does this happen? I did 2 parts developer with 1 part hicolor. What mistake did I make?

Asked by: Amanda1447
I think you need to bleach your hair first then dye it red

For going bright copper, should I use 20 or 30 developer? I've been dying my hair orange for last 6-7 years, my natural hair is ashy brown.

Asked by: minu2505
The difference between 20 & 30 volume developer is only the amount of lift. 30 volume lifts the color more (gives you a lighter color) than 20 volume.

Does developer expire??

Asked by: Jackieop
As long as it stays sealed you should be okay. Otherwise I wouldn’t let it set for ages.
