Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s ok It’s ok, I’ve been using this cap for years, but until recently it caused demarcation lines, where the color bleeds through the holes in the cap.. I still use it, but I am more cautious..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works for me and my customers I've been using these a long time and they well. I know what to expect from these caps so I'll continue to use them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible! cheap, rips easy, annoying, time wasting This cap is horrible! It's cheap, rips easy, annoying, time wasting and useless. You would think a beauty supply store would have a better option. They sell one other cap that is pretty much identical and exactly as useless.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just OK I bought this cap to put lowlights in my very light blonde hair. The price was good, but the holes don't match up with the circles so finding them is a pain. It took way longer to get the hair through because of that, but once I found them all it worked as promised.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible highlighting cap - should be recalled! The holes are misaligned in the cap, making it very difficult to line up the highlights appropriately. Also, it's extremely difficult to poke through the holes with the hook. You end up destroying the plastic ("anti-bleed") holes in the inside, which basically defeats the purpose. I had to take the cap off and poke the holes through and THEN put it on my head. Even doing that, it was hard to get the hook through. Took me more than an hour to complete that task. I would never advise anyone to get this cap. I only got it because that was basically all Sally's had to offer in the store at the time. I will try to seek out a more professional highlighting cap next time somewhere else.

If you're only coloring your hair you don't really need a cap but if you prefer one I'd go with a loose type shower cap. Personally I just use a white grocery bag.

I would highly recommend buying a regular frosting cap from Sally's.Every cap comes with a crochet needle which you are going to need.Every cap has a pattern on it so you can decide how much or how little of a highlight you want.the professional frosting cap that you will get from Sally's is very easy to navigate. They are not expensive at all. You can buy one singly or you can buy them in packs of 3. Crochet hook and go very gently otherwise you scratch your scalp.just slide the crochet hook gently on your scalp do not dig in. Pull the desired amount of hair out for each hole..When you go to Sally's any of the associates can instruct you on how to use it the professional way. I think you will be very satisfied with the results.
