Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked great! I got my hair dye jet black professionally and have been trying to get it out! I’ve tried literally everything from colorfix which did nothing but make me smell horrible to baking soda and dish soap which did work but dried my hair out. This product made my hair go from black to chocolate brown. And it’s way more affordable than everything else!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The worse color remover I have ever used I have used this product on 2 separate occasions - I was excited to try it because I usually use "Color Oops", but it's a lot more in price than this little packet. It says it just mixes with water - perfect, maybe that means it's not as harsh? My first go, I didn't read the instructions all that thoroughly because I had used similar products before, I thought it would be the same concept. Needless to say, the product did not work...at all...literally no artificial color was removed from my hair. My hair was a level 5/6 chocolate brown (my natural color is about 7 ash brown, but I had had bleach in between there,so I was expecting a lift to an orange color). Jumping forward to months later with my 2nd attempt with this product, I decided I should read and follow the instructions properly to get results....well, that did nothing as well. Again, not even a sliver of color was removed. Same color as above. I am really disappointed in this product....save your $5 and go get a PROPER color remover if you plan to do it at home. I have used Color Oops 3+ times in my dying history, and it works EVERY time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. Great price I've tried a lot of other color removers and they all dried my hair out bad!!! This one didn't at all. And they were pretty expensive. This one did it's job and was affordable

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for pink got sick of my pink hair after it started faded, plus i got bored of it fast. used this and it lifted permanent pink dye with no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive, faded too dark color This has relatively innocuous ingredients- namely ascorbic acid and bentonite clay- and was inexpensive so I decided to try it to fade a box color that had pulled too dark on the ends. I left it on for 30 mins with intermittent heat (blow drier, wrapped in warm towel) and after shampooing 3x it came out at least 1 shade lighter, evenly faded, and soft. No it didn’t pull as much as Color Oops but it’s a different kind of product. If you’re just a bit over dark and trying to fade it out this is a good bet. It’s slightly vinegar-y scent isn’t that bad at all- nothing compared to the sulfur stink of Color Oops IMO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it! I read all the bad reviews and thought maybe everyone did something wrong. I followed the directions exactly and it did not remove any of the brown dye. Not even a little bit. Honestly it was a complete waste of money and time. Why is this even being sold as a color remover? It just made my hair dry. Do yourself a favor and try something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time and money It was recommended by the sales girl at the local Sally's store to help me remove the blues and other ion colors out of my hair. I followed the directions to a T and it didn't remove any color.

My ends are a faded blue/ purple will this fade it enough for me to go blonde evenly ?

Asked by: Bg234ever
I have Arctic Fox hair color in Aquamarine, Posiden and Purple Rain. I tried this once my color was faded to get the rest of my color out, but I don’t think it did anything. I followed the directions but no color was removed. I ended up just using my ion cream lightener and a 20 developer to lift the color and that worked beautifully.

I dyed my hair for the first time a few days ago and used Ion Color Brilliance 3g which is dark brown and my natural hair is a light blonde. The color makes my hair too dark and I want to use a color corrector but don't want to ruin my hair. What do I do?

Asked by: megbartnik
the color remover is not going to help you. it's not a corrector, it's a remover. Try using head and shoulders shampoo to work some of the dye out of your hair.

Does ANYTHING remove bleach?? My hair grows so slow and I am starting not to like the bleach and want my natural color back! If anything is out there that will work please let me know!

Asked by: Jenny222
You can not remove bleach. You can however try and colour it back to its original colour. if you want to go darker you'll need to tone it with a red toner to add back some of the pigment that the bleach removed. then add the desired colour on top (for brown). Otherwise, grow it out! add highlights while it returns to blend in the regrowth.

What can you use at home for an all over heat source?

Asked by: Kikichik2008
I didn't use any heat. I wrapped my hair in plastic wrap and left it on for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Worked great.

Could it take more than one coloring to achieve correct color after stripping all color, using your color remover bleach

Asked by: Mary60 fults
It can if you are going from a dark to a light color. You might need to use a toner to correct brassyness when going lighter or to add red tones back into hair that has been lightened to very blond or platinum for fashion colors and you are going back to a darker color.

Is this product for semi-permanent colors only?

Asked by: SammieKay
I don't know if it's for any color truthfully. I used it as per the directions and it didn't remove any color that I saw. It actually made my hair look more vibrant which was terribly disappointing. I used the Joico Color Intensity Eraser and within minutes the majority of unwanted color was gone. I'd say try that instead.

Can I use this product  on mauve toner ? to get rid of mauve colour?

Asked by: stupidbaba
You should be able too. It takes all unnatural color and lowers it up to three levels (depending on how long you stay under heat) to you natural color.

I had black hair before dying it like a red burgundy color and I dyed it with the burgundy but it didn’t get all of my hair because of the black I had before will this remove my burgundy and make it to my regular hair color that I had before?

Asked by: Marlenr1
No but it will (maybe after a couple treatments) get your hair to point where you can bleach it and then tone or dye it to the color you want. Your hair needs to be yellow after bleaching. This product helps get you to a shade that will be more likely to reach the yellow shade without as much damage.
