Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t Work I used this on my blue Good Dye Young hair and it literally did nothing. I followed the instructions exactly...maybe it just wasn’t meant for the dye type.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t work Used as directed and it didn’t even lighten the color a little bit. Useless

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Used this an hour ago, followed directions exactly, made absolutely no difference on my pink hair. The best thing I can say for it is that it wasn't expensive and doesn't seem to have damaged my hair

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I had light pink hair and this stuff didn't work at all! Sucks and was a waste of time. To be honest just washing your hair would probably fade more then using this stuff

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely Pointless I tried this out this week to take my hair from a dark brown to a lighter brown (which is my natural color) it did absolutely nothing other than burn my scalp.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t work It didn’t do what it was suppose to do. I thought it would strip the color from my hair and it didn’t.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't use if you're expecting real results. Read the reviews before I used it and had gave it the benefit of doubt. Thought maybe it would work better for my hair. It was a pastel purple. Nothing too stubborn like blue. I used it exactly how the directions instructed. The results were disappointing. It had only lightened a few strands but did not remove the color. Better off just bleaching. Also it honestly smelled and looked like dog puke.

Does developer work better with this product?

Asked by: Ladyluckyspike
It depends on the intended use. For bleaching/lightening purposes developer may work better as they are intentionally added peroxide. Hair color remover is milder and generates some peroxide upon activation with water.

will this take ion semi permanent very faded blue color out my hair

Asked by: morgan05
It's best to use a direct dye lifter. If your not a professional I would see if you can buy DDL by Malibu C. It works everytime.

I previously had highlights, got tired of having to retouch/tone so I dyed it the darkest brown. It is now fading amd wondering if I use this will it remove all the brown color to look like I had it or leave it looking crazy ?

Asked by: Leon2019
This product doesn’t remove barely anything and it will fry your hair I won’t recommend anyone to use this product

Does this work on brown hair that was dyed black with box dye?

Asked by: michellelevin01
It will help lift the black but most likely you will need a more powerful remover or lightener. For professional advice on this product please contact the ion Help Line at 1-800-859-3112. Our hotline is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST Monday – Friday.

I bleached my hair and I dyed it over with Arctic Fox Poseidon color. And I wanna get rid of the color but would you recommend this or something else ?

Asked by: Lizzzzzzzz
Yes. i love Ion Hair color remover. Works like magic! buy a couple packets.. Your're going to need more than one. Also, have patience... over time, and when u wash your hair, the shampoo will eventually strip the color out of it anyway. Never fear, the color WILL come out!! You could always bleach over too to strip it back to an empty canvas.
