Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightens my dark hair Only bleach to lighten my hair. My hair is naturally dark brown. It will take my roots to banana yellow within the 30 min and keeps my hair feeling strong still after.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not attempt this at home! Turned my hair orange, had to get with a hairdresser and $135 later, all is good. Followed the directions to a “T”!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and fast I used this with their 35 volume developer And it lifts FAST. I have coils curly natural hair and it preserved my curls. But be careful: if you are just touching up your roots, put conditioner on your ends because this bleach will lift/damage your ends as you wash it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will buy again I bought this for my S/O who has very thick, curly, virgin hair because I was looking for something that wouldn’t be too harsh. This smells amazing first of all, & second, it lightened very well. Only took two bleach sessions to get his hair to the right blonde. No complaints of any burning or irritation. I used it with the Blond Brilliance 35 developer. Will be buying again for sure!!

Im confused about the mixing instructions, You dont use equal parts of powder and developer? 1 oz of powder to either 1.5 oz of developer to 2.5 oz whats the difference? the more developer the lighter the results or is it the reverse.

Asked by: Betty 3796
It’s just for consistency purposes depending on what look you are going for . So for a bayalage ...you will want a thicker consistency to achieve the look. Others you may just want something thinner so it allows you to choose .

Can I use this to lift out semi permanent hair dye to go blonde

Asked by: shelbyg667
I use this bleach in a pinch and sometimes it will lift sometimes it will not. Most of the time I’ve found if it does it does a lot of damage. I would use a different bleach if your hair is already pretty damaged.

Is this ready to go or does it need to mixed with something? If yes what?

Asked by: LoverofChaos
This is only the powdered lightener, you need to add a developer, and mix both 1:1 or 1:2 ratio in a non-metal bowl: https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/developer/35-volume-oil-creme-infusion-developer/SBS-550007.html

Could I use this to lighten my hair before putting in a semi-permanent hair dye?

Asked by: Brandy 85
Yes! For a vibrant color, you’re going to want to start with a light base. This is a powder bleach though, so you’ll need to get a developer as well.
