Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice. I was very happy with this bleaching powder. I used it with the blonde brilliance 25 developer. My hair was already dried out some, so the minimal breakage was to be expected, but it felt amazing when I rinsed it out. My natural color is about a 6-7, and this left almost no traces of yellow. I used a toner, but it still would have been pretty if I hadn't.

Is that all I need to bleach hair

Asked by: Joann blonde
you’ll also need a developer to mix into the lightening powder :)

Im confused about the mixing instructions, You dont use equal parts of powder and developer? 1 oz of powder to either 1.5 oz of developer to 2.5 oz whats the difference? the more developer the lighter the results or is it the reverse.

Asked by: Betty 3796
I’ve used it twice now and I still can’t figure out the ratio. Used with 35 developer but my hair was orange/yellow and couldn’t be toned.

Can I use this to lift out semi permanent hair dye to go blonde

Asked by: shelbyg667
I use this bleach in a pinch and sometimes it will lift sometimes it will not. Most of the time I’ve found if it does it does a lot of damage. I would use a different bleach if your hair is already pretty damaged.

Can I mix this with 40 volume developer? What ratio should I use?

Asked by: rhaine20
I have but anytime you use 40 V. developer use with caution I normally use 30 V. Mix ratio is, 1:1.

Is this ready to go or does it need to mixed with something? If yes what?

Asked by: LoverofChaos
This is only the powdered lightener, you need to add a developer, and mix both 1:1 or 1:2 ratio in a non-metal bowl: https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/developer/35-volume-oil-creme-infusion-developer/SBS-550007.html

Could I use this to lighten my hair before putting in a semi-permanent hair dye?

Asked by: Brandy 85
Yes! For a vibrant color, you’re going to want to start with a light base. This is a powder bleach though, so you’ll need to get a developer as well.
