Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turned my hair orange I followed instructions and barely lightened my hair. Turned my hair orange, used a toner turned it like a caramel color. It looks ok but I was expecting lighter hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blue Tinge on the Shaft Never have I had this problem before! I used the blue Kaleidocolors all the time but this week I did a full foil using the blue (kc powder) and it left a blue tone on the hair! What is up with this? I've been using this product for over 10 years and always loved it but now I am afraid to use it again. BEWARE WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT! I THINK CLAIROL MUST HAVE CHANGED THE FORMULA AND GOT IT WRONG! Don't fix it if it is not broken.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Either it was this or the developer that it didn’t work well with, it barely lightened the hair on my head and the extensions!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula SUCKS!! I'm pink and blue headed! I've colored my hair myself for 30 years! Ive used this product for about 17 years...NEVER have I ever turned pink! Desperation set in!!! I only had a few scoops of a pure bleach to get out the pink on the front. I put more of this product on the back half, trying to take the pink out! The front bleach worked but the back is now blue! I will never use this new formula again!

Do you have to use a toner after using this product.

Asked by: Lady Kay
No, not if you know what your doing and what results you’re looking for. I’m a professional and have been using this lightener for years.

Is there a reason I can't use this with 30 developer? I only ask because I have a huge bottle of 30 and would hate to waste it.

Asked by: BrittanyJ_isjanelle
You can use 30 volume it will just lighten your hair more. But maybe that’s good if you are used to using regular Clarol powder or L’Oréal blue because kaleidoscope is less strong

using the blue kaleidoscope powder, how often can I use without damage, hair is still dark in a couple areas?

Asked by: Anonymous
Not for off scalp I use highlight cap and only do regrowth by putting foil over previously lightened hair once it is through the cap. If you get on previous lightened hair it can damage hair.. Getting it right the first time is very important. Good luck Going on previously lightened can cause a greenish or pink cast.

Does this blue powder works on white regrowth along with the hairline

Asked by: Saadi212
I would not use this for white regrowth. It would just result in a blueish- white hair color.

Is it best to have clean or dirty hair?

Asked by: Tori5599
Dirty is the best.  If you are pulling through a cap.  If you are foiling it really doesn’t matter much.

Is the blue or the purple best for getting rid of the brassy color that my hair tends to pull?

Asked by: Spklyangliis
If it pulls orange...blue. If it pulls easily to a nice shade of yellow without the orange...purple. If you have a mixture of yellow and orange...watch out. This usually happens if it wasn't applied evenly, so you end up yellow with orange spots. If this happens just apply the blue to the orange spots. Remember, if your hair is yellow and you apply blue - yellow and blue = green. If your hair is orange and you apply a purple, you just wasted money. Blue gets rid of orange. If your hair is yellow and you apply purple - yellow and purple = beautiful ash blond. Light browns and darker usually end up orange, so use blue. Medium blonds and lighter tend to turn the yellow everyone is after, but if you use the blue in your darker hair, it will turn a beautiful ash blond too. Most people make the mistake of trying to get past that orange and keep in bleaching. The fact is most of us end up orange. Blue toner and blue shampoo does wonders for us orange heads, as the purple toner and purple shampoo does wonders for the yellow heads. Hope this helps.
