Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lifted maybe one color lighter First time bleaching my own hair. I was beyond nervous and only looking to lift a few shades lighter at a time. My hair is a ash dark blond/light brown. I left on for 40 mins and it lifted to a reddish shiny brown. I will repeat it in a few weeks, but for now I’m happy with it. I made a bunch of painting mistakes but you can’t tell because it was so forgiving. Loved it, oh and I used it as a hand painted look. Didn’t do my whole head. I also would leave on for the full time next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, even as a first timer! Everyones hair is different but this worked pretty good for me. I did have my hair previously dyed about a year ago, but it was growing out. The bleach did a pretty even job lightening my hair, minus a small bit in the front that had been hennaed a year earlier and some reddish tint. It did lighten the hair but not as well as the rest of my hair. It did leave it feeling dry but after a couple deep conditioning packs my hair felt back to normal! I colored over with Arctic Fox and couldnt be happier with the results!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got the results I wanted. I bought this to bleach the bottom half of my hair. I already have highlights from previous bleaching so all I did was apply the bleach to the bottom half and added some touches around the top where my hair had grown out. I do have dark brown hair and it is usually difficult to bleach. After processing for the recommended 50 minutes, I washed with purple shampoo and used Ion pigment the Hot Red. I'm in love with my hair right now. I will buy this again.

I have a strawberry blonde color going on and I would like to get to an light ash blonde. Would this packet be sufficient, and how to counter orange/yellow tones?

Asked by: PCsunshine
This a lightener, how your hair responds depends on past color history and current status of your hair. Lightening is a hard process on your hair so you need to have miminal/no breakage before hand. You may need to process a few times in order to get to a light ash blode, depnedning on your hair. This product can get you there! It just may take time, if you do decide to bleach your hair I would get Olaplex (great for strengthening hair) along with a toner!

Can I use regular 20 vol development??

Asked by: Liz101489
Yes you can. And you can use either the creme or clear developer, depending on what you prefer. I have used both and not noticed any difference in the way the product works.

Can a black died hair possibly be instant blonde with this bleach?

Asked by: Gemghghh
it is a very intense lightened especially depending on what level developer you use, I've used it to bleach out a deep purple/blue. that being said you may. eed to do it twice depending on the outcome

Can I use 30 volume on my roots I know it says not too but when I use 20 volume it doesn’t lift my roots light enough my natural colour is very dark and my hair just ends up looking orange but my goal is yellow so it can be toned down to platinum

Asked by: Lauralynn25
I've gone all the way to 40 volume and got enough lightening to get the yellow. I also extend out the time process. I pay very close attention to my hair and finish with repair solution to get moisture back in. Quality products, careful processing and quality after care. You should be fine.

First I’m going to use the Radical Color Remover to hopefully remove the auburn red color then use a lightener... will this work for me to change hair color to maybe blue or purple?? want to avoid as much bleach as I possibly can!!!

Asked by: Ibillbe1225
Yes but big may turn your hair blonde if you don't leave it in long enough.
