Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Customer Service The reason for this review is that I ordered 4 boxes of dye and a bottle of developer. I received the dye, in 2 shipments, and still no developer. 7 emails with no response and the phone system disconnects you. Completely unsatisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great substitution! I recently used the HiLites in Magenta and Red to color my locs which turned out great. However I missed a few spots around my edges. I checked two different stores and both were out of those colors so I eyeballed it and picked up the Chroma Ruby and it matched it perfectly. Takes well to dark hair!

I really want a bright red not so bright that it looks silky but bright enough that it doesn’t show any browns. Which color should I use and what developer number ?

Asked by: MariahLove
I've only used the Cayenne color, but that gives me a beautiful red without brown. My normal color is a light brown (with grey!) and I use a 30 developer. It all depends on your original color and how much lift you desire. Good luck!

if i mix Ruby red and garnet together on my prelighten hair what color would I get?

Asked by: Nicky1318
I mix chroma reds colors like garnet, ruby, cherry & flame.  My hair is naturally dark brown and I quite a bit of gray in the crown area!  The Chroma red color is a rich deep red brown on my dark brown hair.  More red intensity on my gray hair but, it blends in beautifully!  I'm 56 years old Latina with shoulder length layered hair!   I'm very happy with the Chroma red colors and love to mix colors for a vibrant rich color!

I have black (dyed) hair. I looking to get a brownish/red color. I bought Chroma in flame with 10 vol developer. Will this give me the color I want, or do I need to bleach my hair? Help

Asked by: Bzbees13
I would start with the 10 volume developer. Bleaching your hair beforehand, then adding the color may leave you with bright red hair. Now, unless that's what your going for, I would transition gradually. Good luck.

My hair is currently blonde, probably about a 7 or an 8 on the color level, I want to go a darker red, would garnet be a good color to use?

Asked by: Chrissyk
It depends on what kind of red you want, warm or cool. Garnet is a beautiful color! It is a dark cool/violet red. If you are wanting a warmer red/orange shade, maybe try Flame, also a great color.

I’ve previously used L’Oréal Mega Reds MR6 but it’s been discontinued. Which Chroma Red color would you recommend is a close match?

Asked by: MarieG13
if you are able to find a color chart, look at the closest match to your old color. I find that I like the newer brand better
