  • Mix Ratio: 1 part haircolor, 2 parts developer. Lighter than natural shade, first time application: Develop for 15 minutes, check, then process up to an additional 15 minutes or until color is even. Darker than natural shade, first time application: Develop for 30 minutes, check, then process up to an additional 15 minutes if additional coverage is needed.

Tips for achieving optimum coverage on gray hair:

    1. Select a shade level 8 or darker for best coverage; Lighter shades will create a translucent effect.

    2. Shades from Natural or Gold Family will produce a more natural result with optimum coverage.

    3. Mix with 20 Volume Well Color Charm Developer

    4. Apply generously starting at the area with highest percentage of gray or most resistant.

    5. Process for 30 minute, extend to 45 minutes if needed.

    6. For better coverage on hair that is more than 50% gray, use a fashion shade from the Red Family and mix with equal parts of Wella Color Charm Natural or Gold shade at the same level.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Intense colors turn hair red! Extremely unhappy- tried to do hair using the Intense Medium Blonde - nightmare. I added a few drop of the violet additive to combat brassiness- there should have been ZERO problems. Instead, bright red! Wella products are generally great but this is a complete disaster, get this product off the shelves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s ok Color saturation is ok but it’s really not good at covering gray longer than 1 week after coloring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love this color Love this product and love the color. I love that it’s a 1:2 ratio...and right after you dye it, it will appear a bit on the purple hue side but after about the first 2 washes it will be a beautiful cinnamon brown color. I have settled on this being my “natural” hair color now lol

Can i mix T18 and 12AA wella charm together ?

Asked by: SundayMcCo
Go for it! I have never had an issue mixing colors to get the desired shade. I try to go half and half with the color, so that I don't have to adjust the amount of developer I use.

I have fine and thin hair. My hair color is mostly silver with brown hair in back. What would be the safest to use to lift the brown out safely.

Asked by: Sparrow567
Pick color you like/or closest; use 10 to 15% developer, may take longer to process. Cream color will be a bit lighter than liquid.

I have dark blonde hair and I want to dye it with the praline what volume developer should I use

Asked by: Dee deelive
I am not sure how dark blond your hair is so if in comparison it is the same level you could just use 20 volume but in the event the praline is lighter I would go with the 30 volume for some added lift of your hair color.

What color toner do I get for hair that’s orange? T18? Trying to get to a platinum. Top is dirty blonde now with light highlights and bottom is orange bc that part was previously boxed black and hairstylist didn’t tone. Some parts are yellow

Asked by: Kailll92
I am not sure about the advisability of going from a black dye to a platinum. That is putting your hair through extreme stress and could result in breakage. If I was determined to try it, though...I think I would go to a color remover before trying to tone. I seriously doubt that a toner will give you the results you want. In order to go platinum, your hair has to be lightened past the orange stage. Wella does have a 12A...in the ash category, that would possibly give you the pale platinum tone you are looking for. They used to have a violet based additive, but I don't know if it's still manufactured. Good luck...and look for some cute short cuts in case you end up with too much damage!

I bleached and then toned w/ T18 and 20 dev. I'm what my mom would call a dishwater blonde normally. My roots are pretty yellow/brass/light orangey right now. Can I do a second color w/ 7a/672 to add a little depth back and take the yellow/org out?

try wella color charm 811 with 10 volume and leave watch it until toned to what you want
