Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Results I just died my hair from a copper/red color back to black and this product was amazing. It was a simple process and it blended perfectly with the natural hair color of my roots. The only downside I found was that the conditioner package didn't have enough product for the amount of hair that I have but I used my own deep conditioner and my hair turned out beautiful. Also the smell wasn't as strong as some box dyes can be so that's another plus. I recommend this product to anyone trying to go back to their natural hair color if their hair is naturally black.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I just used this today to cover my naturally brown new growth. It’s so dark and so shiny. Usually my hair still has a brown tint after dying it but this gave me good coverage .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for color I tried this simply becaus I couldn’t find my other color I usually use. I’m glad I couldn’t because this gave me great cool cover up on my stubborn gray edges. I hope it last a while before I have to retouch left hair very soft

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Permanent hair colors at Sally I have been using dark and lovely product the past few years. However, wanted to make some changes and tried cream of Nature ginger 10.1. I loved it and so many friends loved too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product The color took very well to my dark brown hair. The intense red exceeded my expectation6. My hair was left so soft and shiny. And by the way my hair is long therefore allowing me to constantly bringi a bunch of it to my nose to smell because the product has left a beautiful scent to my hair. I am not of Asian or European descent. I would highly recommend this product to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creme of Nature Intensive Red haircolor i used the intensive red haircolor from creme of nature's haircolor line and i have to say that i was very impressed- very pleased. after countless hours and comparisons of other so-called red haircolors while at the same time not finding the look/color i was looking for, i finally decided to try creme of nature's intensive red color. at first i was skeptical- i had never used anything from the creme of nature haircare line before, other than being familiar with the brand and its products mostly from my mother, who used to use their no-lye relaxer kits when i was a child. now as an adult, i was looking to try something different- something new. i had previously tried to dye my hair red 3 years by using the textures and tones haircolor line from clairol, flaming desire. BIG MISTAKE!!! that haircolor, instead of turning my hair a nice red, instead turned it bright orange- as in joker from the dark knight via heath ledger orange- SERIOUSLY! (0 0) i was not happy.... i dyed my head back to black QUICK. however, i then tried to lighten my hair and try another color: textures and tones blazing burgundy. the color didnt take and i returned it. even worse, i overprocessed my hair by mistake via bleaching it and it was coming out in clumps!!! (0 0) (this was 2 years ago). i had to shave off all my hair and let it grow back. ( i know i sound stupid- im a rookie; didnt know it at the time- now i know- you live and you learn, people!) = reason why i wanna go to cosmetology school so this DOESNT happen again. anyway, after letting my hair grow back and determining what i did wrong, i finally decided to try to lighten my hair again but this time take extra precaution and dont KILL my hair again! so i picked up some 7th stage lightener and its accompanying packets from sally then went on a hunt-and-search party to find the perfect red haircolor. after searching the web, it came down to these choices: dark and lovelys spicy red, vivacious red, red hot rhytmn, textures and tones cherrywood or blazing burgundy or creme of natures intensive red. i had used softsheencarsons hi rez haircolor in scarlet splash hoping it would give me the bright red color ive been dying to have but with no success- i saw no change in haircolor really- only slightly- it wasnt bright red like the box described- more burgundy than anything and not the red that i wanted- despite it saying that it was good for dark hair ( im a very lightskinned black female w/ VERY resistant probably jet black, black hair that only responds to black haircolor- anything else it wont even change color- not even brown) so i thought this would have been great for me and others who have dark hair and want a different haircolor but dont want to lighten their hair in order to get their desired color. (- -) unfortunately, i have to lighten my hair in order to get the colors i want. oh well.. anyway, after lightening my hair via 7th stage lightly (only up to an orange/sandy brown combination), i then put some coconut oil on my hair to reduce the damage and help protect my hair before coloring it. TIP: coconut oil is VERY helpful and good for your hair- there are many websites/information backing up these claims- i for one know its true. after saturating my hair w/ coconut oil and honey and throwing on a shower cap and sleeping with the mixture overnight (it works best this way, though you can do it for only a few hours if in a rush). TIP: mix coconut oil and honey together in a bowl until you get either an oily or paste like texture. i didnt heat the coconut oil when i used it w/honey so mines came out pastelike, but feel free to do what works for you- my preference was paste- less messy and the mixture stayed mostly in the cap w/occasional leakage due to moving at night in the bed and was easy to wash out the next morning. after a few days passed, i finally applied the intensive red haircolor to my hair ( i bought 2 boxes to make sure it covered my hair- but, again, do what works best for you). after letting it process and rinsing it out, i used shea moistures extra moisture shampoo/conditioner to rinse out any excess color that was not needed and then applied john freidas color glaze to help lock in the color and give my hair shine. after rinsing that all out and letting my hair airdry, i then checked the results of me coloring my hair. OMG- it was red! i had added some red hot intensifier from ion via sally purchase to deepen the color just in case it came out too bright to my liking and i have to say, it looked amazing! (^ ^) for the first time- and FINALLY!!!! (i felt like screaming w/ joy over my success finally in finding the perfect red haircolor for me) this intensive red is truly, truly a TRUE RED- most others either arent a true red (aka are too dark- like black) or have more of an orange tone to them (via spicy red, vivacious red, red hot rhytmn- i ws looking at pics from other women who had used these colors and i have to say i wasnt happy with the end results- too orangey! (nightmare flashbacks)... anyway, bottom line is this: intensive red WORKS. i loved it- 200 stars (^ ^)

I have blended reds in my hair, have a lot of curly hair, am naturally dark brown/black, and my roots are coming in with some grey. Will this color give my reds an uplift, even color and not give me orange grey hair?

Asked by: gingerrogers
I have only used the blonde colors, never reds or darker. That said I have used it several times and am always very pleased with the results.

can you use a keratin straightener with this color ?

Asked by: MadgeRenee
Yes I don’t see why not just use a heat protectant on your hair maybe wait a few days before u do it but yeah hope that helps.

Does the black stain? Everything I have been using lately has been leaving black scalp stains, Igora which I loved. It also will not rinse clear until it fades.

Asked by: Ardnaell
I've been using these products for a long time. I haven't had any issues with staining with this product. I love this product. I think the first day you may get some on your skin but after a nights rest everything is gone. Every other product ive tried before this one stainsband runs and I hate it.

do I need to use a developer to mix with this Cream of Nature Exotic Shine hair color?

Asked by: Jen_chlq
All box colors have what is needed to use to mix the color, so don't add anything else to what's in the box. Read the directions which will tell you to mix the color into the bottle then color hair.

i have very thin hair will this damage my hair

Asked by: joyce128
If your hair is in poor condition, any color can possibly damage it. When in doubt, use a semi first to see if you want a color. And, if you really want to use this, deep treat; trim your hair first and dye 1-2weeks later.

Hi I want to use the black on my 360 lace frontal, do you recommend anything else.. it's virgin Peruvian

Asked by: Nikki 41
I would personally, use a semi-permanent color instead. Even a spray that washes out. Peruvian is very expensive so you don’t want to damage it with permanent colors.
