Rated 1 out of 5 by from Light intense Ash Brown I purchase the light intense Ash Brown.Hoping to tone down the red and cover up greys. But it did not cover Gray's what so ever. Have never been disappointed and ion before. But definitely will not repurchase. And I would not recommend if you are wanting to cover Gray's.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible item I wanted a violet/silver tone to my very light blonde hair, I bought silver and plum dye and applied evenly throughout my whole head and left in for the correct amount of time and got no results. The dye did not put any color into my hair nor even tone it the slightest bit. Really upset and would not recommend this item, the coloration and visibility of it is terrible and non exsistent. Never buying again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What happened to the ammonia-free version? The old version was better. The ammonia -free version. I was hoping this was the same, but it isn't as good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is NOT ash!!! I got the ion color brilliance medium intense ash brown. As I was mixing the color with the developer, I noticed red and pink tones. After the color was applied to my hair and finished, my hair turned out with VERY WARM TONES!!!! I had to go back to the store and buy another color to fix the nightmare. This color shouldn't be labeled ash when it deposits warm tones into your hair!!! Customer service was no help with this either!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Reddish Brown Nightmare! Not Ashy at All!!!! Just bought and used this dye on my dark brown hair and I am so disappointed. I’ve used the regular ash brown from Ion and it worked perfectly. This one should have been called intense red brown! I think the dye was mislabeled. Stay far, far away from the intense ash collection from Ion. Don’t say you weren’t warned!

Since there is no 6-Intense Ash with a Double-Green Base in the Ion Liquid comparable to the 6AA from Clairol, nor the 7AA from Wella, I'm wondering if this (6AG) is a good conversion, And, can I mix this with Ion Liquid?

Asked by: ScarlettFire777
I mix the Ion 7G with the 6AG.  I do half in half and I always get comments on the color.

Hello, What color is Ion's Ash "A" , is it green or blue ? and what is "G" stands for in5AG is it Gold or Green? Thank you in advance.

Hair Color Tone After establishing the level of your natural or desired hair color, you'll next have to figure out its tone. Hair color tones generally fall into three standard categories: warm, cool, and neutral. When hairstylists discuss color, or if you are choosing a color from a swatch book, the tones are often indicated with a letter. Here are examples of standard color tones: Cool Tones A: Ash B: Beige B: Blue G: Green V: Violet Warm Tones C: Copper G: Gold O: Orange R: Red W: Warm RB: Brown/Red RO: Red/Orange Neutral Tone N: Neutral—neither warm nor cool

Right now my hair is a semi ash blonde with some left over blue and tiny bit of pink in it which makes my hair look like a faded green. I am trying to get an ashy blonde to ashy light brown. How will this product result in my hair and should i buy it?

how to apply creme? lost instructions. thank you

Asked by: blessroz
1:1 mixing ratio. Two ounces of color to two ounces of 10, 20, 30 or 40 Volume ion Sensitive Scalp Creme Developer. High Lift Blonde series is mixed 1:2 ratio: Two ounces of color to 4 ounces of 30 or 40 Volume Ion Sensitive Scalp Developer. Bowl and brush application is recommended. Always read the product packaging and inserts for complete directions, instructions, and warnings, and make sure to perform both the strand test and the patch test before applying your color. If have never colored your hair and you want to change your current hair color or you have not colored in 3 months or longer follow these steps: Apply hair color mixture to dry, unwashed hair • Work gently through hair as you would a shampoo. Loosely pile hair on top of head • Process according to manufacturer’s directions. When processing time is complete, add a small amount of warm water to hair and work into lather • Rinse until the water runs clear. If you color your hair every 4-6 weeks with a shade of similar tone and level follow these steps: Make 1/4” partings throughout dry, unwashed hair • Apply mixture onto new growth area only, working from the front to the back of your head. Leave color on new growth area for 25 minutes. When processing time is complete, add a small amount of warm water to hair and work into lather • Rinse until the water runs clear. Other tips: Always perform a strand and patch test • It is often not necessary to refresh the ends of the hair on every permanent hair color touch-up application • For resistant gray, use 20 Volume ion Sensitive Scalp® Creme Developer and apply to gray area first • Apply a stain barrier cream around the hairline prior to application when using dark shades • Choose a lighter shade than desired if you are unsure of which shade to use or if you have very few gray hairs • Use an old towel to protect your clothing
