Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great for my grey hair For my grey hair I've learned that I need to stick with Clairol Grey Buster - these colors fade quickly on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I have regularly bought this product over the past five or six years and am thoroughly happy with it. The soy is nourishing to the hair, and this is the best product for protecting your hair when coloring. My only disappointment comes in that Clairol is discontinuing colors; in my instance, it has discontinued 4RN - the color I've been using happily over many years. Please bring the color back, and please don't discontinue this product. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Toner I really, really, really liked my results from this. I should have gotten two boxes, I would have needed to do it again, but Sally's was closed, and I'm impatient, so I improvised with what I had, and because this toner worked so well, my results were kind of awesome. I am wondering if this particular shade could be made without the ammonia ingredient (I believe the box said ammonium hydroxide,) because the smell was quite powerful. I did do it in a well ventilated area, though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Time to consider another brand I have used this color for over 5 yrs. Was shocked today when color was significantly darker than normal.Believe color was exposed to oxygen before opened. Gray coverage was marginal even after usual processing time of 35 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color, yes but it's soft too! I've been using this product for 20 years and it's even better since they put the conditioners in it. It has no bad odor !

Why cant Ifind Clairol creme in color 3RR?

Asked by: Nettie77
They've changed the number designations. If you'll compare in store you'll find your color, just under a different designation. I hate the changes but what can you do other than figure out what you need? If you can't figure it out maybe the store employees can help.

I ALWAYS USE 12GN HIGH LIFT OLD-NEURTRAL BLONDE BUT YOUR SITE IS NOT LETTING ME PUT IT INTO MY CART TO PURCHASE IT.

Asked by: SHARI 44
I also used 12GN. I asked at the store and they said Clairol no longer makes 12GN. I have switched to 8GN and am happy with this color. Just a tad darker but a great color. Looks very natural.

I usually use 6nn but it’s too red what color will be less red?

Asked by: 48kelly2020
I am strawberry red after coloring. I use 8g  with a 20 developer on my root for 25 minutes and 8 rn on the ends with a 10 developer for about 19 more minutes. Clairol permanent hair color. It fades and because I don’t like roots I color about once a month. In between or if I need to wait longer in between I use a root cover but getting the right color is difficult. Good luck.

I currently mix 2 parts Miss Clairol Soy Complex Cream Permanent Hair Color...6N with 1 part 7N? Is their a color that would be the same as what I achieve doing this so that I would not have to mix colors?

Asked by: barbieo22
That is a custom mixture. The only way would be trial and error to see if another manufacturer has a different effect on your hair. That is 2 parts DARK blond to 1 part medium blond, so you could also just try going lighter or darker with the same brand. I use claroil 8A or 9AA, and I alternate between them every couple of touch ups. So could do that as well. The dimension builds over time. Hope this helps!
