Rated 2 out of 5 by from Came out a different color I bought the crimson hoping for a dark red, came out copper. I did not add bleach, I have virgin dark brown hair. Did 2 parts developer and 1 part color. Not happy with color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Time High Color User Bought this stuff instead of the l'oreal high color magenta. I chose the color cherry. So far, i am very impressed. A lot less bleeding in the shower, less bleeding at night and the color is so pretty and vibrant. Only been a couple days but so far, im in love!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Violet is NOT purple I used Violet and the top of my head is now maroon and the bottom is black. I understand that hair processes color differently (been dying my hair since 13) but had higher hopes for this over a plain ol box dye. I spent 30 bucks to be utterly disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting and great brand. Used this on mine and my boyfriend's the color took great and is lasting very long. I have never found a red that will stay in my hair like this one does. This is one of my favorite brands!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not it at all So I tried this item twice once in Violet which did show other than a few streaks & next the Onyx Black which has turned my hair a dark blue/black. After looking at the sample in store and with my flashlight to assure there were no blue tons I decided to try the brand again. I want to cry lol

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a close color match to sample at all Bought 2 tubes of violet today. Upon mixing i knew it didn't look right. With the second tube there was like a dryed up piece of purple that came out with the creme. As a first time user of this product i decided to go ahead an use it this see what happens. After its all done i ended up with an light wine colored tint to my hair. Not super noticeable and definitely not violet. Super disappointed but glad something showed up because i didn't think anything would.

My hair has been dyed dark intensive brown, I would like to dye it lighter to the honey blonde with this product (ION TRUE TONES FOR DARK HAIR ..HONEY BLONDE ) WORK on my hair?

Asked by: cindy1985
You will need to lighten your hair as dye will not cancel out a darker dye.

Asked by: hillaryg6
You needed to purchase (separately) a Creme Developer to pretty much like 'activate' the dye.

I previously had dyed my hair the copper. I used 30, vol dev. I had a perm done and my color is gone. I want to color it with the copper but I don't want to dry my hair out more. Will the copper deposit color if I use a 10 vol dev? Don't care bout roots n

Asked by: Mrswurst
Yes I use level 5 for color depositing! Developer lifts so use the lowest you can

I dyed my hair darker brown , could I dye my hair the honey blond and it could work?

Asked by: Suetodd66
Unfortunately, it might not work. You currently have a dark color in your hair. In order to get it to a honey blonde you might have to bleach it to lift the dark brown in your hair. Color doesn't lift color.

Do I need a developer with this product and if so what volume?

Asked by: Isis2798
Yes you do need a developer. It would all be depending on how dark your natural hair is. My hair is dark drown and when I first dyed it using this line I used 30 volume.
