Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too Color I love Manic Panic but it runs a lot more then Actic Fox does and it rubs off onto your pillow case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Atomic Turquoise and Voodoo Blue = BANGERS! I absolutely LOVE this dye! I used the Atomic Turquoise and the Voodoo Blue, and even after about 3 weeks, I still get compliments on my hair. It really is a self esteem boost!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT STUFF Stuff is great to stand out around stuffy conservatives. Works great. Just fades a bit too quickly for my taste, but it is not a big deal. Beautiful colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best colors ever! i've been using this (and other manic panic colors) for years (in some cases decades) and i have yet to find anything better! currently i have a 3 shade ombre going on (purple haze, voodoo blue, and electric lizzard) last major re-haul was done at the beginning of september (fill-in bleach and re-apply color). it is now the end of november and it's only just now in need of some attention. every so often a friend will convince me to try some other color product, and i'll give it a shot, but i have never found anything that covers as well, or as vibrantly, and nothing else lasts even a fraction of the time (granted, i take steps to ensure the longevity of my color).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from loveddd!! i really enjoyed using this product and plan to continue in the future.. i used ultra violet and due to my previously colored faded out reddish copper tone and 2 in natural blonde roots i was pleasantly intrigued by the results. my roots turned a really nice matte purple tone with almost blue hues and the ends that were the weird faded red coppery tones turned a really deep purple with fushia like tones dark in appearance radiant in the sun, but color is definitely visible indoors as well. left my hair feeling great and conditioned, no damage. very excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Electric Blue, I love you!! This color is perfect...super electric! Just know this will give your blonde a tinge of green as it fades.

my hair is dark brown and very thin i want it blue so that you will be able to notice but not sky blue and i just want the ends will this blue product work pretty well even if i dont bleach it

Asked by: Bayan123
I've tried the Manic Panic Electric Blue on unbleached brunette hair (mine is fine textured but very thick aka a LOT of hair) and it gave my hair very vivid highlights. If all you want are the ends to be blue, I'd either strip the hair first, or get a professional to do the job for you.

I am seventy years old and have dark brown hair. I have just been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and going through aggressive chemo. I want to dye my hair cotton candy. I’m looking at this as a bucket list item. Would it work?

Asked by: Reefcomber
Base on your question I’m not sure how the previous person got that you need 2-3 containers, as this would depend on how long and thick your hair is currently.  As far as the color, you might need to lighten your hair before it will take the color. I have dark brown hair too and I needed to lighten it to at least an ash blonde for lavender to take. The lighter the color being applied, the lighter your hair needs to be in order to show up. Also one thing I have noticed when coloring my hair with manic panic, the longer I leave it in the better it takes. (You can keep it in a couple hours since it doesn’t require any sort of chemicals.) when you wash your hair after, try not to use hot water and I try not to wash it unless it needs to be washed. Every wash will fade it a little bit more. Hot water will take it out very quickly. Best of luck to you

dying my light brown hair with the hot pink, how long do you think it will last?, don't want it more for 2 weeks...

Asked by: maddycmoo
As long as you wash it frequently it won’t last. And if you wash it in warm water it will last less than it says

hi ! i’m tryin to dye my hair pink, but i want it to be, like, right in the middle of pastel & hot pink. should i mix cotton candy pink with a white/really light blonde dye or should i just use conditioner? (my hair is already lightish blonde) :~) thanks!

Asked by: bigheadsonly
Conditioner. Do not ever mix ammonia dyes and semi permanant colors. They do not apply the same. With conditioner the amount of time you leave it on will change the vibrancy of the color to a certain point. Generally with manic panic you will have the shade which is actually applied to your hair, so just be aware of how much you dilute the shade with conditioner. Make sure to use white conditioner so that existing dyes will not affect the color outcome.

Can you apply this to color treated brown hair?

Asked by: 1Laurels
You can but it will be very dull and not nearly as bright as the colors appear in the container. These (and basically ALL bright color dyes) only really look right on bleached hair. Your hair must be very light to achieve vibrant colors.

How to use it

Asked by: Anastasi
1) Shampoo hair using a deep cleansing shampoo. Apply to freshly washed, dry hair. 2) Empty the desired amount of Manic Panic Hair Color into a coloring bowl. Apply evenly with a tint brush 3) Do not apply to the scalp, but 1/2 inch from scalp. Saturate hair thoroughly. Comb evenly through the hair until it becomes frothy. 4) Cover hair in plastic cap and leave on for 30 minutes. For added intensity heat may be used. 5) Rinse hair in cold water away from face and body until the water runs clear.
