Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Color But Darker Than Expected I like the Clairol Jazzing products the best because they are gentle, especially when used with a relaxer; however, the Toasted Chestnut temporary color is a little darker than I expected. I hope it lightens up after I have shampooed it a couple of times to be a med. tone brown with some warm highlights like on the bottle. I did leave the product on a little longer with a plastic cap and no heat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Literally the worst thing I’ve ever used This is absolutely the worst color depositing product i’ve ever used. I bought the color “black cherry” to darken my red a few days ago. I did everything that the instructions said, and it deposited the ugliest copper color I’ve ever seen. My hair was so dry after (I conditioned before using it) and it felt so dead. This product is terrible. I would not recommend this for anyone who dyes their hair more than once a month. Will 10/10 ruin your current color and state of your hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Temporary Colour that lasts 4-6 weeks I started using this product because permanent hair dyes contain PPD which is a toxic ingredient that I have become severely allergic to (anaphylaxis). To my very happy surprise, the color lasts well and fades out beautifully. I've never had so many compliments on my hair color... even when it has faded out in its 4-5th week. It's such a great product, leaves my hair feeling stronger and healthier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Temporary Hair Color Ever I have been using this hair color for over a year. It works so well! I suggest it to my family and friends all the time! This product is so easy to use and lasts a long time, especially when you apply heat.

I have blonde hair will this work on me and turn out the color it says?

Asked by: Tami 333
Hello, I know this works great on hair with no pigment, and the results are usually very close if not on the mark, but like I said with white hairs with no pigment.  I don’t know what shade of blonde you have. I can tell you that this product does not have peroxide nor ammonia, so there will be no lifting of your current color, but also no damage.  If you are blond with a predominant yellow under tone, and you use a color with a blue under tone, you could end up with greenish hair.  From your question, I don’t know what you are wanting to accomplish. If you are a blond that is developing white hairs, yes you could use a blond tint from this product to coat those white hairs. If you are a dark blond with white hairs, a lightish blond tint would not tint your dark blond hairs, only coat those hairs, but only the white hairs giving you highlights. The same for say dark brown hair with white hairs. If that person used say a reddish color that was lighter than their brown hairs, the tint would only coat the brown hair, but not change the look of the brown hairs, but the white hairs would come out the color of the tint, again giving a high lighted effect.  If you are a blond with no white hairs, and you are just wanting to try a different look, such as go darker, you just have to remember unless you are a reddish blond, stay away from any tint with a blue base.

How do you use it know directions

Asked by: Honey bee
I'd say it's a good idea to use it on washed hair, cover with a cap and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. If you can, sit under a dryer; it intensifies the color. rinse and follow with conditioner and style as usual.

How long does this last?

Asked by: Nita1970
It depends how often you wash your hair. I leave it on my hair 2 hours, then rinse until water runs almost clear, then wash twice, and condition once (comb condition through hair). I am a throw back, to when we only washed our hair once a week, but I don't put very much product like gel and hair spray, and I usually have my hair in a bun or high pony tail most of the week. I can say that even after months, the old hair still retains color, as I only do the roots. Once and awhile I do all of my hair, just as a refresher for the rest of the hair. I am about 75 percent gray. The reds seem to be very strong, and do the most change for me.

do light colours show on dark natural hair

Asked by: rababooo
I bleached my hair first so I had a true to color match. However, I have a couple friends that used blue and purple on dark brown hair. It was so subtle that you really only noticed it in the sun which makes the color pop. But it doesn’t last long.

I have ombre hair and I want black hair but I don't know if I will like it, would you recommend this for me?

Asked by: gracebauer123
I think you will have to be careful...if you have chemically lightened hair, the color you choose may not come out as expected. I had lightened my hair once and didn't like it and tried to cover with a blue-black...it came out green. The good thing is it washed out in 6-8 showers.
