Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and great results! Three weeks ago I had my hair professionally lightened and it turned a banana yellow with some rose gold underneath where my hair was originally pink. A week later I decided to tone it down before a business trip, so I took to YouTube and after a dozen or so videos later I thought I would see what all the fuss was about with Wella Color Charm toners. Went to my local Sally's and asked the employee which color she recommended to help keep me from going green when I dye my hair blue and purple. She suggested T18 would help me tone the hair down to get it ready for blue and purple dye. Picked up 2 bottles toner and 2 bottles developer just in case. This is a 2 to 1 ratio so 1 toner and 1 developer bottle mixed almost exactly 2x that. The items were easy to mix and apply. I had washed my hair with shampoo only a couple days beforehand. After applying I set a timer for 30 min my hair did turn purple then I washed my hair in the sink with cold water. I was left with a much less harsh tone I am happy to say this did the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took out the old brass! This is a before and after using the Wella T18. This blonde balayage is 2 months old. My hair grows slow so I don’t need a touch up but did need a retone of the blonde I already had. It worked amazing. Left it in for 20 minutes and a lot of the brass came out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved the colors!!! I got this for free from Influenster to test it! I liked it a lot. I have never done anything to my hair before so I was a bit hesitant to try this out but since it washes away in 20 washes I did it and I ended up loving it! The developer was quite nice as well! I recommend this 100%

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jo Wow! I am so glad I found this. I just used T18 toner with the Wella 20 developer and Iove the results. My hair was pretty bad with clown orange roots and highlights so I left it on the whole 30 min. Now, my hair is a beautiful toned down dark blonde. I love the results and my hair even looks healthier. I used the mystic divine coconut complex mask afterwards which made a huge difference.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Developer! I got this for free from Influenster to try out, and I really liked it! It didn’t feel to harsh on my hair and it’s nice that it doesn’t hace to be paired with the hair dye.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from User friendly, and worked for me! Worked very well, was able to life my hair color with the powder and then dyed it. I have dark hair so I was surprised it worked and I quite enjoyed it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent product The product seemed to help extend the color fading some. I would have loved for it to last longer. It made the colors pop more than using another developer. It would have been nice to have a bigger bottle since I received 3 colors and my hair is fairly long. I was lucky enough to receive this free in an Influenster box.

Hi. Just to be sure. The free item for the ongoing promo is the Wella Toner? Will the free piece be the same colour code and size as the the one I order?

Asked by: Charlie123
For the Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer you must place both items into your cart- no they do not have to be the same color code. Yes they will be the same size. Once you place both items into your cart the cart will then auto adjust the price to reflect one of them as free.

Hi my hair is naturally brown but dyed blonde, I bought t11 with 20 dev, I want to know if this will dye my hair even the roots,my hair is non-bleached Thanks

Asked by: Sweetpea88544444
No, it's a toner not a dye. I will eliminate any brassy color from going brown to blonde, but that's it

I have orange kinda yellow hair and it has some parts green can I use the t18 to tone it? What would it do to the green parts

Asked by: Alex21069
I use T18 with 1210 and T10. T18 alone should curb the yellow. Its ash and it works for me.

when highlighting new growth, can this toner be added to the bleach? Or do you have to use the two separately?

Asked by: Maylou52
No, do not add it to the bleach.. It's a 2 step process.

I used T18 toner and It toned my blonde good but I put the toner on my roots(ombré with dark brown roots)and now my roots turned out this orangy color, What can I do to fix this? I’ve tried washing my hair multipe times with purple shampoo and nothing.

Asked by: Jazzzzzz
Hi Jazz! The same thing happened to me! I guess this toner has ammonia in it or the developer that we use with it which is why it lightened our dark hair :( the only fix is to put colour back onto the dark hair I’m afraid or lighten the roots now to a blonde. Next time try to only tone the blonde hair.

Is this toner what I use before I dye my over processed hair to my natural dark color

Asked by: Cookie71
No. This toner is used on bleached/ lightened hair to correct yellow and unwanted tones to create a more attractive blonde color.  A toner is not what you are looking for. I advise you to see a salon professional to have your color corrected since it is over processed to avoid any further unnecessary damage.

Do I need a developer with it? I bleached my hair and now it’s an dark redness.

Asked by: Muddcat1982
You do need a developer with the toner, it's one part toner, two parts developer. If your hair is still red/orange, you may need to bleach it again; the toner will only work if it's a light yellow.
