Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great on the hair and the pocket I am well pleased with the product. There is a similar line but the cost is about 3 times as much. I am glad I found out about it before I spent unnecessary money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hair felt soft and healthy AMAZING!! I bleached my hair with the Arctic Fox bleach kit and used this product alone after I washed the bleach out. I felt the difference immediately after one use. I've tried the bond builder kit from Matrix and it did nothing at all. The ingredient that you need to look for in a bond mender product is maleic acid. I really recommend you buying this if you want to help repair your hair after you bleach it. I haven't tried the other steps in this line but I don't think they are necessary for you to have good results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I waisted my money! The 3 step process further fried my hair, making the damage worse. I couldn't even add moisture to my hair. I used the process twice to see if my hair would react the same way and it did. I had patches of hair falling out my head. I was going to take it back to the store for a refund but I ultimately threw it in the trash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good! I purchased the entire set. I felt my hair was detangled as I rinsed. Basically prepping my hair prior to shampoo. I see this as pre poo basically lol. Texture of this is thick gel and spreads easily. Rinses clean and no shedding. Not minimum. I said NO hair in my wash brush. That alone makes this a keeper. My hair was a hot mess lol. This helped.

Can plex breakage defense  step 1 be used with other creme of nature shampoo and conditioner instead of  plex step 2 and 3

Asked by: Luloosh70
Yes.  I have used it with other shampoo's.  They recommend using it with the shampoo and conditioner for best results    I have curly hair and follow curly girl method and can't use the shampoo and conditioner but can use the break defense.  It still works well for me.

I bought this product and used it once but am afraid to try it again because one of the ingredients is ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL. Is there any logical reason for this?

Asked by: Hakulani13
I can understand your concern. But since it's just step 1, it will be washed out anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. I I actually really liked this system, it really helped revive my color-treated hair

Is this product only for natural hair?

No. I use it on my relaxed hair. I saw immediate improvement after the first use. I have used it 4 times, once a week.

Is this plex breakage defense product comparable to olaplex

Asked by: SanieSue315
I would say that they aren’t comparable. The active ingredient in Olaplex that repairs bonds is bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate. Unfortunately it’s a patented ingredient and this product does not contain it.

Is this ok for Caucasian Hair, with highlights? Damaged from so much processing.

Asked by: Lovetoshop123
I suggest that you purchase Olaplex No. 3. It's pricey, but well worth the money. I've used it many times after over processing my hair and I highly recommend it.
