I am uncertain whether to get the hair and scalp conditioner vs the coconut oil. My hair is fine and dry. Which would be a better fix for m

Asked by: Ctmelize
Well the hair and scalp conditioner consistency is a little thicker, while the coconut oil is much more oilier and thinner. Both are fast absorbing....If you like oils and hot oil treatments i would get the oil if you like more focus on the scalp and you have very dry scalp i would get the conditioner. Even though both are good the oil would problem be better for the hair if you want to put it on your hair to.... My opinion : )

I have bare spots in my part on my crown - back of head. Will this help my scalp regrow hair. my scalp is always dry. Only wash 1 time a week. I Use no hair spray. Just cut hair very short because of my hair barespots was grey. Now brown.

I did a lot of research for this question because I wasn't sure. I knew coconut oil was and is good for your hair, I just didn't know if it grew hair. One researcher didn't mention it at all but he said that natural ingredients are very important in hair care products such as including vitamins and antioxidants. I looked under coconut oil, which I knew was good for your brain in eating it such as using it like butter on popcorn or toast or cooking. BUT They claimed it did grow hair. It was good for the scalp, adds volume and shine to the hair.  For hair growth treatment they recommend one teaspoon massaged into the hair and scalp for ten minutes 3 or 4 times a week. Afterwards place on a shower cap and allow the oils to work for about a half hour or overnight. Then use a mild shampoo to cleanse it. Use the Coconut oil conditioner on your hair as normal then. Coconut oil has antioxidants and on the whole this product is excellent and I wish you well in regrowing your hair. Judye

Can i use this on my 8 month baby girl scalp or hair to help with dryness or wut would you recommend Thank you

Asked by: Blockert
I went to the jar and read the ingredients and recommendations and the primary ingredient is petroleum jelly. It also said on the jar "keep out of the reach of children."  So I looked on the petroleum jar which said the same thing. I realize the product would be on the child's hair not in the jar but it makes me hesitate with how children put everything in their mouths. I would err on the side of caution. Perhaps a milder baby's shampoo that would not dry out the baby's hair and scalp so much. I am not the one to recommend baby shampoo because I am 67 and past that stage.  But I am sure Sally Beauty can help recommend to you.  Judye

How do you apply this product, to dry or wet hair? Before or after shampooing? I used it on towel dried hair, and I could not remove it until after 2-3 washes.

Asked by: adri1980
After shampooing as it adds moisture making hair softer and easier to come through before styling whether wearing your hair natural or relaxed. I also use on dry hair to soften and making styling or combing through easier. Simply use less if you feel hair is oversaturated and it's taking 2-3 washes to remove.
