Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straight hair but not now! I put a quarter size of this in my hair while it is soaking wet from the shower. I rinse my conditioner out with my head upside down, scrunch out a bit of water, add this by taking it through my hair, then add gel with scrunching. Seriously gorgeous curls. My hair is naturally straight, fine and blonde.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Makes hair greasy This styling creme is not meant for my hair type. I am Black and have type 2, curly and wavy hair. This product made my hair extremely greasy and the hold did not last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for curls, but also an amazing blowout cream My hair is coarse, thick, and naturally wavy (mix of 2B and 2C). I normally straighten, but do sometimes wear it natural/wavy. I picked this up since it is silicone-free and I'm trying to remove those from my haircare. I bought this hoping it would add some extra moisture to my hair during styling and reduce frizz. My hair is about chin-length and I use about a small dime-sized amount of this. Work it through my damp/towel-dried hair & comb through, followed by gel, and let it air dry. I definitely notice more curl, less frizz (although I do still have some), and my curls/waves are significantly more defined than if I skipped this. This doesn't have much hold, just be advised. Also, not at all how intended to be used, but this makes an absolutely incredible blowout cream. I again used a dime-sized amount, followed by a little of the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore blowdry creme (for heat protection), and blowdry with my usual round brush technique for straightening. My hair comes out gloriously straight and shiny, with absolutely zero frizz. Even on humid days, my hair is still better than my previous "good" hair days using silicone-based products. This product does have a strong tropical coconut/beach scent (as most Cantu products do), which I personally enjoy, but if you dislike coconut, be warned. I personally find this works best on damp, towel-dried hair. On soaking wet hair it can foam up, and on dry hair it flakes something terrible. This is so cheap and has great ingredients, so I will always keep it on hand regardless of how I choose to style my hair day to day.

I Applied mine but refused to be curled .my hair is still the same.what could be wrong .

I used this as a moisturizer. You might try a gel product if you are trying to define curls.

Will it work well if I have a perm for curly hair

Asked by: Sebas2221
This product works well for curly hair but its very thick! For permed hair I personally would suggest you use something light and this is heavy product!

This is a great product to use for curl activation.

Does it work for all types of hair

Asked by: Zg4416gh
It depends on the look you want to achieve and the amount of product you use with or without other products. It may be heavy for fine hair. I have coarse hair and it works great for my hair. I do find that it does not moisturize enough for my dry hair and I need to use it as a styled with a moisturizer. Hope this helps.

Does this product do the same as the curling cream does what's the difference can these 2 products be used together?

Asked by: Peachies
For me, yes the products do the same. I don’t use them together because it makes my hair flakey. I use the curling cream on damp hair and i use the other on dry hair.

Would this help my daughter's hair...Her hair is dry and curls mostly 2c some 2b?

Asked by: Mandy326
It would be worth a try. I have seen it it work wonderfully on others, I can only use like a pea size amount on my hair, mine is a 3a/b. It is very heavy. I put water on my hands with it as well.

how long does it take for your curls to come in after using this product ?

Asked by: Chloe2002
The name of this cream is a little misleading. It won't "activate" curls that you don't already have. If your curls are already there and are healthy and moisturized, this cream helps them, but it won't give you curls if you don't have them.
