Rated 3 out of 5 by from It Kinda Works so im in a salon and borrowed my coworkers toning shampoo. it smells like chemicals and it has a purpley greyish hue. It completely strips the hair so if you need that it works. i personally like other shampoos woth better ingredients as this is drying but it tones so its not a comeplete flop!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ehhh I have been using this for a while to upkeep my platinum hair but my hair kept turning a dingy yellow/purple and i thought it was just my hair but i realized very soon it was this shampoo. don’t use it very often if you do cause it’ll turn your beautiful blonde you probably spent a good amount of $$ on into a dingy grey.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive whitening shampoo for gray hair! Got this after reading reviews saying it was just as good as Clairol Shimmer Lights. It definitely worked for me. I am growing out my gray hair. This shampoo definitely made my white hair look brighter without any yellowing. Recently tried Shimmer Lights to see how it compares. Shimmer lights seemed to make grays look even whiter, and toned remaining blond better. That’s the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Shimmer Lights! I purchased this on a whim and I'm so glad I did. It did an excellent job toning my brassy hair! I noticed as soon as I opened this bottle it was a MUCH deeper purple than the actual Shimmer Lights Brand. I found this product to be a VERY concentrated color where Shimmer Lights was more of a lilac-ish purple. I could see where this may have turned others white/platinum hair purple as its so strong, but for my champagne blonde it was perfect! Great smell too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for my gray I’ve been using this shampoo for several years. I love what it does to my color. Brightens it beautifully. I did just recently order from Sally the Clairol brand to compare them. I found the brand had a much nicer fragrance and I only needed to use half as much product. So, I will see how long this one lasts. At the amount I used, the brand should last twice as long as the generic. If it does, I may just keep use this one. However, the generic results were the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a must product! I’ve been using this product for years now and it’s turned into a need. I compares it to shimmer lights and it’s better! Because this type of shampoo is a bit drying my suggestion is to buy the conditioner and only use it about two to three times a week and your hair shouldn’t be dry. PURPLE shampoo will make your hair turn into a lilac color to be able to take away the bronze so don’t be surprised if you have purple tips it should wash off. Other than that it’s really good if you know how to use it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing color, a little drying. I recently bought this shampoo and the immediate after color change was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Ive never noticed a purple shampoo difference even after letting it sit for 30 minutes. However, with this purple shampoo, I left it on for 5 minutes and was thrilled at the after color. As i was rinsing it out I did notice it felt a bit dry, but followed with the generic deep conditioning hair mask my hair felt better than ever after one use! My hair is already extremely damaged from so much bleach.. So being able to use this shampoo instead of more bleach and toner to refresh the blonde color is just what i was looking for. Its a definite must have if you want a quick blonde refresher.

If i am using this for the first time.will it turn my hair purple after i wash it out?and do I just wash it out or leave it in for 3 to 5 minutes?

Asked by: Terra2424
You leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing. It shouldn’t turn your hair purple after just one use, but if you use it daily it can. I’d use it no more than once a week.

My hair fell out too, but will it come back?

Asked by: barblong
It absolutely will, but please do not use coconut oil as Baith suggested, as it creates an oily barrier that will not allow real moisture in. Coconut oil is bad for both your hair and skin for this reason.
