Rated 3 out of 5 by from SPLIT /BROKEN NAIL I wanted this to work but it was difficult for me to cut the right size then laying it on top of the exact spot of the break. You have to get really close to where the split started or else the break will snag on fabric. I tried filing and it’s difficult because the area is tiny and close to the skin. I wish it had a little adhesive to help keep it in place, then you can apply the polish to seal it. It helped me grow out the nail so I could cut off the split.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fiberglass Nail Wrap and Resin Gel I had several nails that cracked below the nail line and the wrap and resin helped to keep the nails strong until it could grow out and be cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad Its a little complicated this way, not having it precut to nail fit but i got the hang of it after wrapping the 5th nail

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can use as little or as much as required. I purchased this to repair a vertical split on my thumbnail. That particular nail always suffers the same injury and it takes forever to grow out the nail. I use crazy glue at the split itself and then apply 2 layers of the nail wrap.I can then either use regular nail polish or leave it as it is and it's hardly noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strongest my nails have been without acrylic I am unintentionally hard on my nails with my wood working and furniture restoring hobbies. It's nearly impossible to avoid polish chips and breaks, and my UV gel polish just couldn't provide enough protection by itself. But I also like to have modest active-length nails that look presentable for my day job, so I needed some reinforcement. I saw a tutorial online where a user incorporated wraps into her gel polish system, so I decided to try it. Following her methodology: base coat, cure, wipe the tacky layer with a lint free cloth, apply wrap, top coat, cure, file away wrap overhang, then second top coat and cure. That created the wrap base. After that I applied gel polish color as usual. Now of course was really slow with the first time application, but by the end of my second hand, I had the hang of it. And I found it easier to cut and round the edge near my nail bed before application. I could not believe the level of reinforcement that the wraps gave! I could feel how strong they were without bulk. My nails still looked like my own natural nails. And I then spent two consecutive days in the garage with bangs and catches that would have otherwise obliterated my nails, but I didn't crack or break a single one. It's been three weeks now with no lifting or polish chips, and it was easy to file down my tips when it was time to refresh my manicure. I am thrilled to have found this awesome product that allows me to not have to choose between my hobbies and pretty nails anymore!

Can I put a nail treatment under this?

Asked by: moll0023
No. You put the wrap directly on your nail then use superglue to glue the wrap on.

Do you apply this to the whole or just a part? Are they cut into nail shaped strips or do I need to do it my self?

Asked by: moll0023
You can cut what you need and apply to part of the nail or the whole nail. They are shaped like a fingernail but, you will find that you will need to cut to size.

I have 3 nails that are really bad and torn from acrylic nails I want to try fiberglass do you think it would work

Asked by: Sheila Russell
yes, I use it because I have one nail that splits down the middle due to an old injury. I put the piece of fiberglass in place, coat it with several coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, then buff until it is smooth. I soak in nail polish remover to remove it - don't try to peel it off until it's completely loose - you'll tear your nail again.

What other products do I need to purchase to use this? Resin and activator?

Asked by: Ptmarisa
No. it's more like cloth (only much thinner) and it sticks to your nail. Once you have it on, coat it with a base coat. 2 coats of polish and a little buffing and you can't tell it's there. I use it because I have a nail that splits down the middle all the time - protects it.

Can I use this product to lengthen my nails as acrylics do? It would only be to the end of my finger tip.

Asked by: Chloe12344324635
You could try using the wraps to lengthen your nails but usually the fiber glass is used to put over a crack or break in the nails you already have. I have used them for only that purpose. I know nothing at all about acrylic nails. With gel nails the wraps wouldn’t be used to lengthen your nails, only for strengthing them. Hope this info helps.

My nails are finally where I want them but my ring fingers always split in the center. Will the wraps work as an overlay to keep them from chipping?

Asked by: Sherry68
Absolutely! Also, the Fiberglass sustem does not damage nails, so your nail will grow out and look beautiful as it does.
