Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use I started using this in February from the advise of my local store associate and have been very pleased. I did acrylics for years, this is by far easier and superior.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Try a different brand first I bought this kit because I was spending waaay too much money at the salon and they claimed they could never do fills on dip powder manicures, so I decided to do it myself. I bought the starter kit from the same brand; and a white (white cotton) and the black shade as well to have as basics. First off, it’s a good thing I looked at the color swatches first because the color on the sticker of the container versus what the color looks like on the nail is COMPLETELY different. I’m talking light lilac to dark grape difference. Differences aside, the products was a major let down. I did opposite nails, so white on one hand and black on the other and added some gold jewels afterwords. The black color pigment was nice, however the white was horrible. I had the same problem later on with different colors where the pigmentation wasn’t consistent, and would take way too many coats of the base to get an even color and by then the nail is incredibly thick. I ended up giving up and figured I’d just buff them off and call it a day. The powder did not go on evenly for me personally and I tried various times, was never the same. I left the manicure on for a couple weeks, and it started to crack and fall off in chunks which was odd. I ended up acetone soaking the dip powder off and my nails have never been the same since. My nails prior to the dip powder was in no where near the same shape as when I took them off. It physically hurt simply washing my hands with cold water because my nails were so thin. The product is way too harsh and I was definitely disappointed. I would pass on this.

Which dip powder would you use to create the "nut nail" or "soft white" nail looks?

Asked by: Kayla207
Not sure what "nut nail" is, but for a soft white/marshmallow try Cream Soda or Fresh Cotton. If Cream Soda is too beige you can mix in some Fresh Cotton. I mixed Bahama Mama and Vivid Pink (3:1 ratio) to create a hot pink coral. I am sure you can do the same with all the colors. Just remember the ratio in case you want to recreate the powder!

Does it peel off like the gel does? Is it strong as acrylic?

Asked by: T barber
Does not peel.  This is acrylic, you put the glue on and dip into the acrylic powder. Then put on the curing solution, and it is as hard as any acrylic you get at the salon.

Which pink color would be best to use when doing a French manicure? I have several pinks and fresh cotton for the tips.

Asked by: SWarren13
French Pink is one of the best for French manicure. A good one is Rose Petal with White Hot for a Pink and White set too.

I do not understand this product, quick dip. It looks like you don’t use anything else with it. Is that correct? You just stick your finger in the product and that’s it?

Asked by: KateSnow
You need an entire kit. You place a layer of the dip base and then dip your nail into the powder. The combination gives you an acrylic type coating on your nail.

Does ASP quick dip nail powder have Formaldehyde and Tuloene in it?

Asked by: Binkie333
Thanks for asking about those two chemicals. Have heard about them and now going to look it up in what exactly they do or what kind of harm they do for our nails. Thanks!

What do I use before the powder ? I have never used this before . Please help

Asked by: Marilyn Mcbride
Like someone said above try watching videos and by watching visually will stick with you and you can mark it in your favourites. I myself watched a YouTube video from someone doing dipping system and now I have been doing the nails like they do. My stem is so easy instead of all them bottles. Prepare nail and most important step****. Add base coat than cure than dip into powder. Repeat 2 or 3 times than add top and cure lastly. Makes the nails hard and strong. No glue used. Thank god for utube, that’s how I pick up valuable tips as well as educate myself also fun watching the videos most of the time. Try it by watching the videos and see if you like it.
