This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. How to Use the Heat-resistant Glove The Heat-resistant Glove is worn on the hand you are using to hold the Flat Iron. The Glove provides a barrier between your fingers and the heated Flat Iron during styling. It is NOT designed to protect fingers from prolonged exposure to the Flat Iron surface. Touch only the Flat Iron Handle while styling. Automatic Worldwide Dual Voltage This appliance will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. In North America, connect the plug into any outlet. Outside North America, use a plug adapter of the proper configuration with the plug before connecting into any outlet.

IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a slight odor. This is normal and is not a cause for concern. Auto Shut-Off The Auto Shut-off feature is automatically “On” when you turn on the flat iron. The Auto Shut-off feature will automatically turn your flat iron off, if you forget to do so, in 2 hours. Temperature Memory Your Salon Flat Iron has a state-of-the-art temperature memory design which will automatically recall the last temperature as your preferred heat setting and will recall the selected heat setting the next time the unit is turned on. Start-up • Plug the flat iron into an electrical outlet. • The Illuminated Accent Ring will blink during heat up until the desired temperature is achieved. • Press the Power Button (On / Off) and the LED Temperature Display will start blinking showing the default setting or the last memory setting. • Turn Rotating Temperature Dial clockwise (right) for a higher temperature or counterclockwise (left) for a lower temperature. There will be an audible tone and the display will stop blinking when the desired temperature is achieved. NOTE: When the Rotating Temperature Dial is being turned, the temperature will increase or decrease in 10°F increments. Caution: Flat irons with temperature control dials operate at high temperatures when used on high settings. When using for the first time, begin with the LOWEST setting. Please read all instructions carefully before using. For best results, follow these guidelines: Heat Selection Hair Type 200°F - 250°F For fragile hair 250°F - 300°F For fine, thin hair 300° F - 350°F For normal hair 350°F - 400°F For wavy, medium-textured hair 400°F - 450°F For coarse hair

Hair should be clean, detangled and completely dried before using any styling tool.

Separate a 1-inch section of hair, gently place hair between the straightening Plates and clamp the straightener down firmly on the hair. You will achieve professional results if you work from the scalp to the ends of your hair.

Carefully slide the iron along the isolated section, making sure the hair is heated and straightened all the way to the ends. The ends will probably require less heat than the hair which grows close to the scalp.

For best results, hold ends of hair section while smoothing.

To create flips or curls, use rounded edge of iron’s straightening plates to curl ends out or under.

Release pressure and allow the hair to gently slip out from the straightening plates once the section is straightened.

The straightening process does not require overlapping. Separate each section of hair and work on it as indicated above.

Allow hair to cool before combing or brushing.

Repeat the process until you have achieved the look you desire.

When styling is complete, press the Power Button (On / Off) to turn off. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before storing.
