OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
• If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
• Do not attempt to force the plug into an improper outlet.

For U.S. residents only: In the event of an unusual circumstance such as immersion, the protective device will not allow the dryer to operate. Periodically check the safety plug to verify it is in proper working order. Plug the appliance in an electrical outlet and press the test button. The dryer should stop immediately. To resume operation, press the reset button."                                                

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LINT FILTER(S)

• LINT FILTERS DIFFER FROM DRYER TO DRYER. Some dryers have a filter  inside the end cap as well as an internal filter inside the air intake. Others have only an internal lint filter inside the Air-intake Grill.
• CLEAN THE LINT FILTER DAILY. This will extend the life of your dryer and prevent it from overheating and shutting off.
• Unplug appliance from power source. Remove dust and lint from the Air-intake Grill.

UNIVERSAL VOLTAGE:
For use in several countries outside North America, the voltage selector may need to be placed in the 250-volt position. Confirm the voltage available at each location before using the appliance. For connection to a 250-volt supply, use an attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power supply receptacle.

Styling Tips:

• This appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When operating the first few times, you may notice momentary smoking when turning off unit. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. The smoke should dissipate within a short time.
• Gently towel-dry hair to remove excess water.
• Set dryer on highest setting and speed and circulate the airflow through your
• hair. Do not concentrate airflow on any one area.
• When hair is almost completely dry, lower heat and speed setting and begin to style hair as desired.
• Push the Cool Shot Button to set the style with cool air once you’ve achieved the desired style.
• When drying is complete, wait for the appliance to cool before storing. Do not wrap the cord around the dryer. Use the Hanging Ring. This keeps the cord from tangling and wearing prematurely.

Styling Attachment Tips

• For straightening and smoothing all hair types, use the wide detangling comb. The brush teeth glide easily through hair, preventing tangling.
• The Brush Attachment shapes and styles while drying. Roll hair once around the brush, rotating the brush and pulling the hair downwards. Repeat the movement, creating waves and adding fullness to any hairstyle.
• To change attachments, wait for the attachments to cool after using them. Never remove them from the appliance when hot.
• If you want to dry your hair quickly, remove the attachments and set the dryer at the highest heat and speed setting. Do not concentrate airflow on any one area for an extended period of time."
