Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite My favorite curler is the self grip roller. It holds the curl, yet looks soft and natural when combed out. I have used this roller since early 2000's and as long as they are in stock, they have a customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! First time ordering these online since I can't travel to a store. Unfortunately I purchased the wrong size. Fortunately, my C.N.A. lived near a Sally's Store and made the easiest exchange to a much larger size. The same product, larger size, was perfect to fit my needs. I really love this product.

Asked by: Bjwamdg5
I have never used the rollers for a permanent. the curl does not last if you use the rollers. A friend of mine do=id it, and the curls were very loose.

Do you have to use papers when you use these on wet hair? Can you sleep in these rollers? What size do you suggest for thin short thin hair just below the ear? (Classic mature 93 yo female)

Asked by: Eileen29
No papers needed, these have Velcro on the outside and grip well. They are not crushable and would not be comfortable to sleep in. I have used the blue rollers, 1/2” I believe, for shorter strands around my face and neck.

What size do you use for chin length hair

Asked by: Phyllisann
I have shorter hair and use the 1” rollers. The  1 1/2” would probably be better for chin length hair. After a blowout, I put these rollers in my hair for about an hour and 15 minutes and they really help with improving the fullness and volume. I have very fine somewhat thin hair and these rollers are great.

Can these be used on straightened African American hair?

Asked by: Araignee
Yes, these rollers work well with African American straightened hair. I have used them for many years. The larger rollers create smooth light curls and volume.  The smaller rollers create tighter curls. The choice is yours.
