What is the proper way to blow dry hair?

For smooth, straight results, use an ionic ceramic dryer and a large-barrel round brush. Hair should be towel-dried and detangled before blow drying. First, apply a leave-in conditioner and set dryer to high heat and speed. Lifting the hair and moving the dryer continuously, remove excess moisture until hair is about 75% - 80% dry. Attach the dryer's concentrator nozzle and run the brush through the hair simultaneously with the dryer. Work section by section, starting with the bottom layers and moving up, finishing with the crown. For coarse, curly hair, prep with a glosser. For fine, limp hair, prep with a volumizing mousse. For normal hair, finish with a light glossing spray.
