What are VOCs?
VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds, which are ingredients, such as alcohols and certain types of propellants, commonly found in hair sprays. California was one of the first states to limit levels of VOCs, and many manufacturers have modified their products to comply with these California standards. Since the regulations, many new formulas have been developed by professional hair care companies.
