DIRECTIONS/ MIXING: Remove cap on Processing Lotion bottle (part 1). Add Color Remover packet (part 2) and Absolute Perfection vial. Apply applicator cap to Processing Lotion bottle and close tightly. Vigorously shake until product is thoroughly mixed (45 seconds). Using scissors immediately cut off plastic tip on applicator cap. APPLICATION AND DEVELOPMENT TIME: Wearing gloves, apply mixture quickly and evenly to dry hair, starting at the darkest area. Avoid application on uncolored new growth or on hair that has not been previously colored. For darker shades (level 1 black- level 3 dark brown) or intense color build up, process 50 minutes to 1 hour. For medium shades, (level 4 medium brown – level 6 dark blonde) process 20-30 minutes. For lighter shades, (level 7 medium blonde – level 9 very light blonde) process 10-20 minutes. Processing time varies depending on the amount of color absorbed from previous color applications. Black or darker shades may require more than 1 application. If the color removal was uneven, a second application may be necessary only on the darker areas. Processing times noted above are approximate. Strand test to ensure successful results. After processing, rinse thoroughly and lightly shampoo. Dry hair prior to recoloring.
Please see instructions for additional directions and tips. Always perform a strand test and patch test prior to applying all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Great product! It really works and doesn’t smell bad at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need 2+ boxes but works Permanent dyed black cherry cola hair to start, lifted to a reddish brown after one use. Left it on an hour. Hair feels fine and no smell left after washing. Definitely need at least 2 boxes and it'll lift your roots WAY faster and lighter than the rest of your head. I'm waiting a week and then doing another application before I re-dye an Ash Brown. Also my natural hair color is a medium Brown/Auburn so I expected that my hair would be harder to lift and hold to the reds. Full on bleaching on my own at home is too scary! This way (though slower) is less harsh on my hair and my nerves!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'd give 0 stars if I could I was recommended this product by someone who works at Sally's. It didn't remove any color whatsoever except for it bleached a small part of my natural hair color in my roots. It dried my hair immensely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what its supposed to Would recommend using a bowl and whisk to mix and using your own rubber gloves but other than that it works perfectly

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well, needed more tho. I am trying to go from a dark blonde ombre to grey and I decided to do this first to lift the color placed in my hair a while ago. It worked well and lifted the color but I wish I bought 2 boxes. My hair is about 3 inches past my shoulders and I was able to saturate my hair with one box because my hair is ombre so I only did the bottom half. Although I was able to cover it all I wish I could have saturated it more. I think it would have worked even better if I had. Other than that I would definitely recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from do NOT use. I HAD TO SHAVE MYHEAD Do NOT use this, it ruined my hair completely. My hair was in HEALTHY condition before this, and after using my hair was FALLING out in clumps. When I used color oops this did not happen. STICK TO COLOR OOPS PLEASE. this is the LAST thing to put on your hair. I had to shave my head last night. There was no deep conditioning working, I couldn’t even cut it, as it was dead to the root. The pictures below, my hair is not frizzy- that is from THIS PRODUCT. My bangs, literally fell off as I washed this out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like a charm Took out super bright purple within the time on the box, didn’t even have to leave it on for long before seeing results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from this product is a scam for a color corrector, which does not contain bleach, youd think they would at least disclaim the “color remover” powder and “color remover” lotion is actually bleach and developer. doesnt remove color at all, instead will bleach your roots or wherever there is not color present. color remover is made of SULFUR, not bleach. destroyed my hair which is now fried and stretchy, and destroyed my self confidence. go buy colorB4.

Is this good for getting green and blue out of my hair?

Asked by: Tami miles
My hair was nearly black and is fairly long but I used 2 boxes at once and it came out nearly strawberry blonde(my original hair color many years ago) if it can pull out 30+ years of color including black, I put my faith in it

I used this ion color corrector and it bleached parts of my hair, how do I fix this?? It looks awful. I left it on a little less than the instructions required, too. I then dyed it the color I wanted to maybe help the issue and it made those parts worse.

Asked by: Redrosed
It sounds like you did not apply the color corrector on correctly and did know it’s like a bleach that removes color from hair. If you want to recolor to fix it, you need to us a dark color like a level 6 and under and color your whole hair

I am naturally a dark blonde and have really hard water that turns it orange. Purple shampoo works good when used daily. In dec. Decided to go med brown to stop using purple. It went orange again. Would this help to use before going to light ash blonde?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes it will. It helps to remove the orange/red tones that are in the brown dye. It won't remove it all but it helps a lot. Another thing to try is equal parts clear dish washing liquid soap, baking soda, purple shampoo, and the lowest volume developer that you have on hand. Don't use anything above 20. Mix all this together, apply to dry hair, saturate well, leave on for 20-30 minutes then rinse and condition well. Helps remove color also with out too much damage to your hair.

The color remover would not take out all of the orange, it would just remove the remaining brunette color. Purple shampoo is great for toning brassiness and yellow, but does not tone orange-Blue cancels out orange. In order to get an ash blonde, I'd suggest using blue shampoo or toner to correct the orange so you don't strip your hair/risk ruining the integrity of your hair.

Yes! I used this with good results. I also use a toner with a 10 volume developer after coloring to keep yellows and orange away. Follow the directions and you will be pleased.
