Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get’s The Job Done! Worked very well on my thick natural hair, still had to do a toner after, but definitely lightened to a blonde when I paired it with Clairol BW2.

I want to change my hair from black to brown what can I use to lighten it?

Asked by: Rebecca 18
Hello Rebecca 18: I guess it depends what you're working with...is the black you're saying natural or dye? If it's natural, i guess you could work with this 30 vol and the 12n high lift as another reviewer said, but if the black you're talking about is permanent dye then you're gonna have to remove most of it first before you can get any lightness going on. For that you could get the One n' Only Color Fix with Argan Oil, mix only the bottles number 1 and 2 (don't use the number 3 cause it stops the color stripping process and you don't wanna do that when removing black dye) then apply evenly all over your hair (or wherever there is black dye) and let it work for 20 or 30 mins (or according to packaging instructions) then wash. Keep in mind that this Color Fix is NOT bleach and it will only remove permanent hair color dye from your hair and not your natural pigment. Afterwards you can apply your new color. Hope this helps :-)
