Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shade of hair coloring for me! I have been using these hair color products for about two years and they cover the gray completely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t do anything I’m generally doing a review on this entire line of different levels. It does NOTHING to my hair hardly. I’ve tried multiple times and each time it’s like I have to apply it twice for it to get “good enough” to get away with it which is still not as light as I need it. I have dark brown hair. And it barely lifts it up. And not only does is lighten only slightly even at 40, it does a spotty job. I’ve never been so disappointed in a developer in my life. For all the burning it does, it sure does nothing, and that’s not what I like to sit through slight burning for. Normal developer doesn’t even burn as much on me. Maybe it only works if you have a matching bleach powder with it, but if that’s the case I’d say that’s not a good feature for a developer. I’m gonna stick to wella’s developer which will work with ALL bleach powders just fine and actually lifts to where I need it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So soft Bleached my hair 2x with this but in the 30 vol and the wella lightening powder, and my hair doesn't feel dead and crispy! My hair still has it's integrity and is much softer compared to other bleach jobs I've done with other products. Although, the only con I have is that it warmed up pretty quickly and gave me quite the burning sensation. Could just be that the weather helped warm it up a bit too quickly? Not sure, but would use again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great soy product I have been using this with Age Beautiful colors for several years now. It is very obvious that this developer creates soft shine smooth hair. I did try Age Beautiful developers, not even close

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creamy Because it is thicker than most, it is easier to use. When mixed with the color, it becomes a creamy consistency which is less likely to dribble and stays where you put it.

What is the best toner ? I’m trying to get this yellow orange out my hair from bleaching my hair?

Asked by: Kevsmommyy17
I use additives instead of toners. I have brown hair and love red but hate orange. So I add blue or purple additives to my dye. You have to be careful because these additives darken the color. Blue darkens the color more than violet additives but also removes more yellow than the violet. I use a clear additive by Clairol to lighten the color deposit but I found out today that it has been clearanced and is no longer available. Anyway, do a patch test to see what results will be.

Can you use this cream delveloper in a semi-permanent hair dye.  Example would be Clairol semi-permanent hair dye?

Asked by: Djoy2018
I have not used Clairol Simi permanent I am not sure. But Simi mean only last few shampoos so is not permanent color. I don't think you can used the 20 volume developer ( the 20 can lift up to 2 level so if your hair is dark brown it will get you to light brown and  20 volume developer is best for cover gray hair). I hope is help. you can also call toll free and double check because every manufacture are different.

I have black lowlights and very blond highlights. I want my highlights to become platinum. If I mix this developer with toner T18 all over my head, would my black color will be damaged?

Asked by: Chachita
I use this and the 7th Stage Lightening activator. Pull through a cap to put the highlights. It will make the blond WHITE, as the activator is excellent for removing and coloring .But you must pull through the cap, and wash it off while the cap is still on your head, else it may bleed over into the dark color. Put a couple tablespoons of shampoo in the solution -makes much easier to wash out. Run water over till clear. Good Luck ! Hope this helps.I am not a beautician ! but have done this for over 20 years , always works for me.
