Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Please bring to Canadian stores! I need to order this online when I can get my colours in store. It’s amazing for pastelizing the super pigmented af shades(virgin pink, poison and Poseidon) I don’t reccommed adding conditioner to the colours to pastelize unless you want patchy results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm conflicted I used Manic Panic Pastelizer before this and it did fill the bowl but Arctic Mist Diluter takes a lot to make a difference especially considering the price. Perhaps I'm not doing this right but it does work. Might be in my head going from jar to tube having to squeeze out more product.

Do I have to use this dilute can I just use the conditioner instead

Asked by: Lovely39
The diluted is used for 2 reasons: either to provide a lighter, pastel version of a color or to simply provide more product in your bowl instead of wasting too much of the actual color bottle. If you're not looking to lighten the shade, yes you could just use conditioner.

Hi what products can you recommend to get my dark hair to get a platinum blonde

Asked by: Bee79261
Well I’m not a professional although I have been bleaching my hair for about 20 years so I’ve tried lots of different toners .  I have very dark brown hair with some gray.  You probably need someone to help you to get the back properly covered. You could try going to a local beauty college too if a salon is to expensive because it will cost about $150 or more the first time. I have a tall mirror on a stand so I can do the back myself. Go a few days without washing it, brush it out really good and I part mine straight across the top/back of my head with a wired rat tail comb, then put a little top knot with your top hair while your working on the back. I use 40volume cream developer and a bleach that says it lifts at least 8 levels. Lately I’ve been using the ion developer and the bright white tube of bleach. But I used powder blue bleach for years. Mix it equal parts if your hair is really dark. Then start parting in thin layers painting your layers from top to bottom.  Then do the same for the hair you have on top. Don’t forget gloves Put it in a plastic cap and start checking it after 30 to 45 minutes. It will go through a few different Shades but keep checking and once the orange shade is past your probably there. Mine can take up to an hour. But some people can’t take the bleach on their scalp that long so you might want to just get close.  The ion 40 volume is really gentle on your scalp.  Then rinse rinse rinse till the water is completely clear.  I’ve toned mine the same day but it works best one day later. The Manic Panic virgin snow gets you pretty close to platinum unless your trying for silver then you might try something else. I’m always searching for a really soft silver but I usually go back to virgin snow. Then make sure you buy a high quality purple shampoo and conditioner so it stays platinum and not yellow like a Lays Potato chip bag. Good Luck,

Will this medium work with other hair color brands? For instance Good Dye Young.

Asked by: IngridBee
Yes you may use it. The diluter works pretty well to mix colors and make the color softer as much as you want to add.

Hey! I was wondering if this product is any different than using a white conditioner. Thanks!

Asked by: claire01
There is a slight difference, but I tended to go through too much of the diluter so now use a quality white conditioner by Hask and have not seen different results. I would recommend using the ion absolute perfection step 1 booster with the color for optimal results. They are small but help tremendously. Best of luck!

Does the color look platinum? Also how do I mix it with ?

Asked by: Panda369
So the color is the same as an off-white conditioner. To be specific, it has a slight purple tint but It’s not meant to alter your current hair color at all. It’s there to mix in with what ever other color you wish to lighten. As far as the actual mixing, just squeeze some of it into a mixing bowl along with your other color and stir it together. I’m the type that definitely wants the cheaper option. I mix white conditioner with my color to dilute it. However... it doesn’t mix as well as the diluter. If I were to choose, I’d pick the diluter over regular conditioner any day.

How I can used this when I’m bleaching my hair Thanks

Asked by: Selma111
This isn't used when bleaching hair, it is used to make hair dyes a lighter colour (Example: You bought a bright pink dye and you want to make it a pastel pink.)

I have dark brown hair, and want to do the sterling, do I need the dilute too ?

Asked by: Chica32366
If you want to go that light from a dark brown you will HAVE to bleach your hair a very light blonde, almost white. You would want to use their silver hair dye and if you would like to make the dye a lighter colour you could add some of the diluter, but it is not necessary .
