Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined my hair! My hair was a light golden blonde. This turned my hair light brown - a nasty looking brown! I hope I can color over it .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely thrilled!!! After growing tired of paying the high cost of going to the salon, I made the decision to color my hair myself. I purchased this yesterday and colored my hair tonight. I was blown away at how beautiful the color is. The color given by my hair stylist doesn’t even compare! I will definitely buy this again and highly recommend!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color not the same as on the box. I bought the light intense auburn color. It is neither light nor auburn. But it sure is intense. It is a bright fake cherry red/purple, which is EXACTLY what I didn't want. It looks NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING like the model on the box. I don't have the money to get it fixed so I'm stuck looking like a crayon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My roots are orange brown The color on the box plus Reddish brown roots. I look like a Dark strawberry blond but the red is intense. I used The purple shampoo hoping that the golden red would tame down but nothing is working. I am recoloring my hair today. I felt like a dork yesterday running around. I started out with blond to medium blond. I like medium blond. not this one! Also The shine? Where is the shine? I look like I dumpster dived into speghetti leftovers!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst hair color I've ever used I tried two of these colors; Plum & Chocolate. I have been coloring my hair for over 20 years and have tried many different colors and brands. This is by far the worst. I'll start with the Chocolate color because it wasn't quite as awful as the Plum. It was more of a reddish, gold, light brown color and not a true chocolate, which is what I was aiming for. It also faded very quickly. Now the Plum. It was completely awful. After I applied the color and thoroughly washed and rinsed my hair, my hair was left sticky and tacky feeling. I've never experienced that with a hair color before. After 3 washes, the color was completely faded to a light mauve. I'm talking grandma's faded couch mauve. After the first wash, it was drastically faded. I only wash my hair twice a week. During every wash, the shower floor would be fuchsia from the dye. It left my hair broken and very damaged. I would highly advise against this. I had to buy several keratin treatments to get my hair back somewhat healthy. After 3 weeks, I bought the Wella dark brown hair color and it covered the mess the Ion left and so far, I see no fading. If you're looking for a good hair color, this isn't remotely it. Try Wella instead.

How many levels does this lift? I can't find it anywhere on the box. I usually use Loreal Les Blonddimes in LB01 which lifts 3 shades.

Asked by: Julieaaa
I called the company and they told me it lifts 4-5 levels as it has 40 peroxide. They should put this information on the box though.

I have red box dyed hair and it's darker red. I'm looking to make it brighter like Ariel the lil mermaid color or close too but only used box dyes so what color do infuse to achieve this bright red?

Asked by: Jo052286
To get a more intense red I would mix in the liquid red from Wells color charm series I love the color it gives on it own too. But you have to use Wella developer if you use the red on its own.

I have dyed my hair with a red box dye from the drug store about three months ago. I want to color it a light brown or dark blond. My hair is naturally a medium brown(4-6), what kit and color would be good to use that doesnt smell too bad?

Asked by: Red hair brown roots
Hello I’m a former hairdresser. You cannot lift color with color. You have to strip (bleach) that color out. I highly recommend a professional. You could severely damage your hair.

Does this color cover up red well?

Asked by: Djessup3
I believe so. I had chosen a red from this line and although pretty, it wasn’t a good color for my skin tone. I did decide to go dark, which is my preference, and it covered up any trace of red very well. This is, by far, the best boxed hair color I’ve ever used.

I have naturally dark brown hair, about 4 months ago I went blonde. Now I want to go a red/black or blue/black. What do I need to know? Will it set my natural roots dark and highlight neon the blonde to the bright colour?

Asked by: Catrie83
I had dark roots and blonde ends - my blonde ends despite using a filler were 4-6 shades lighter than rest but my roots look awesome - I’m growing/cutting instead of over dying it...

whats ch mean after the color

Asked by: ninjaqueen
Not sure but this product dried my hair out so bad...I don't recommend it at all. It's like straw and it's been 2 months and only slowly getting better with treatments. Avoid.
