  • Dust-free bleach powder Vegan formula Complete kit
Manic Panic Flash Lightning Bleach Kit is designed for pre-lightening the hair before application of the Manic Panic semi-permanent hair colors. Everything you need to lighten your hair is included in this kit: Dust-free bleach powder, cream developer, mixing tub, tint brush, plastic cap, protective gloves and instructions.
  • INSTRUCTIONS: MANIC PANIC® AMPLIFIED® bleach kit is designed for pre-lightening the hair before using MANIC PANIC® semi-permanent hair colors. Everything you need to lighten your hair is included in this kit. Please follow the instructions carefully. Tish and Snooky strongly recommend doing a strand test prior to application. (Take one strand of hair and follow instructions.)

PREPARATIONS: 1. Wearing the enclosed gloves, open the bleach plastic bag. Avoid inhaling powder. 2. Empty full contents of bleach powder into the provided tub. 3. Gradually add the developer to the bleach powder in the tub. Using the brush, blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Sometimes it is not necessary to use all the contents of the developer. 4. Apply mixture immediately. Do not wait a long time.

APPLICATION: Hair should be dry and unwashed. Using the provided brush, apply the bleach mixture evenly to hair sections you wish to bleach. All strands should be saturated using the brush or gloves to spread the mixture evenly. Cover the hair you do not want to bleach with foil or a highlight cap.

DEVELOPING: Use of enclosed plastic cap is recommended through the developing process. The length of processing time depends on the natural hair color. The chart below indicates approximate timing required to bring natural hair to the pale lemon yellow stage.

    NATURAL HAIR COLOR APPROXIMATE TIMING:

Light to Dark Blonde: 20 to 60 Minutes

Light Brown: 20 to 90 Minutes

Medium Brown: 40 to 90 Minutes

Dark Brown: 60 to 90 Minutes.

Check strand every 10 minutes to evaluate lift. To do so, remove plastic cap and wipe away mixture with a damp tissue. If hair has not reached desired level, reapply mixture as before and continue processing. Do not over-bleach. Bleach can process for about two hours if hair is resistant.

REMOVAL: When desired shade is reached, take off the cap and throw away. Shampoo hair thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry hair.

  • Always perform a strand test prior to full application. Do not apply directly to scalp. Check progress every 10 minutes throughout the process.
  • BLEACHING POWDER: Potassium Persulfate, Ammonium Persulfate, Sodium Metasilicate, Sodium Stearate, Silica, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Hydrated Silica

DEVELOPER: Water/Aqua/Eau, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA, Sodium Stannate, Phosphoric Acid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wowie!! I used this kit, to bleach the front half of my head for a future project on my hair. I fully expected to need multiple bleach sessions. I did not!!! My hair was dark brown/red. I mean it was dark. I barely had the first section applied and it was already blonde!!! I left in on for about a half an hour after all of it was applied, when I normally would need to leave bleach on for over an hour with my dark hair in the past. My hair is as blonde as it could be, it looks as if I'd done two or three sessions. Of course a little red turned pink but nothing other products can't fix, plus it is not bad at all. It literally bleached most of the red. I am so impressed, it's ridiculous!!!! I have used manic panic dyes and have always loved them, but this product is absolutely amazing. I will be using again if needed in the future and I will recommend to friends!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I bought and used this the other day and it worked very well, I have naturally slightly dark brown hair and this made my hair mostly blonde with some orange-type hues. It did cause slight irritation on the back of my neck and ears but the redness and slight irritation went away after I washed the bleach out. I had to buy 2 of these, simply because i have medium-long, thick type hair, but if you have shorter hair/thin hair just buying 1 box would probably be fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I have black dyed hair. I used this to dye the bottom half of my hair. It did lighten it but it came out as a horrible red/orange color. Since it said it was "super strength" I thought it would work on my hair but it did not turn out. If you have lighter and not dyed hair it might work well for you but if your hair is like mine I would not recomend it.

My hair is light to medium brown, down to my butt, and I'm wanting to just do highlights. Would one box work?

Asked by: Sierraf1
Hello, one box of this bleach would do an all over bleaching of about shoulder length hair. One box might be able to highlight your length of hair, but I would err on the side of caution and buy two just in case.

do you need to use a separate developer if the bleach has developer in it?

Asked by: ellayesline
This product comes with bleach powder and a bottle of developer. You do not need to purchase developer separately.

Do I need to use a toner after? I don’t know anything about bleaching. Someone help!

Asked by: Jsk12345
Yes if it becomes brassy or has orange tones, you’ll need a toner, something with a purple color to it, depending upon how dark is your hair will depend how many levels it will have to go through to make it to a blonde stage.

Would this lift teal splat naturals?? I’m not sure what to use to get this color out and I hear the splat remover is extremely damaging.

Asked by: Otaku180
Hi Otaku! Here are some helpful tips to gradually remove color without bleach: - Hot Oil treatments - Alcohol-based hair products such as hairspray, gel, or mousse - -Washing hair with shampoos that contain sulfates such as Anti-Dandruff, Clarifying, Deep Cleansing or All Purpose. - Exposure to water and sunlight - Sprinkle a teaspoon of baking soda into your shampoo, gently kneading into your hair, then rinse with warm water. **Some darker colors may leave behind a slight tint/stain or take more time to fade than some of our lighter colors. **The removal of hair color and fading results vary from person to person. ***Consult with manufacturers of any outside lightening and color removal products before attempting their use or get the advice of a licensed hair stylist. I have thick level 2 hair. Would this product work for me?

Asked by: wbball244
Yes!The Lightner should be applied to dry, unwashed hair using the tint brush provided in our Flash Lightning® Bleach Kits. When applying, make sure to spread the mixture evenly and completely saturate all strands using the brush or gloved fingers. Not saturating the hair enough or uneven application can lead to spotty results. When lightening the entire head, it is best to work in the middle of the section first since this will take the longest to lift. Once the hair becomes close to the desired shade of blonde, apply lightener to the roots and ends. For more tips, tricks, and assistance please email our color experts customerservice@manicpanic.com

So I read on the instructions that you have to empty the whole developer and powder but, I just wanted to bleach a strand of my hair and not my whole head. I won't need that much bleach, would it be better for me to get a different hair bleaching kit?

Asked by: McBurtle
Hi Mcburtle! Our bleach kits are prepared with the perfect ratio of bleach powder and developer to give you consistent results every time. However, some “Dyehards” may only need to use a portion of the kit to get their desired results. In this case we recommend mixing a small amount of powder and gradually adding in the developer until the consistency is like cake batter. Always do a test strand first to make sure your ratio is correct and to preview the results. For more tips, tricks, and assistance please email our color experts customerservice@manicpanic.com !
