  • Dust-free bleach powder Vegan formula Complete kit
Manic Panic Flash Lightning Bleach Kit is designed for pre-lightening the hair before application of the Manic Panic semi-permanent hair colors. Everything you need to lighten your hair is included in this kit: Dust-free bleach powder, cream developer, mixing tub, tint brush, plastic cap, protective gloves and instructions.
  • INSTRUCTIONS: MANIC PANIC® AMPLIFIED® bleach kit is designed for pre-lightening the hair before using MANIC PANIC® semi-permanent hair colors. Everything you need to lighten your hair is included in this kit. Please follow the instructions carefully. Tish and Snooky strongly recommend doing a strand test prior to application. (Take one strand of hair and follow instructions.)

PREPARATIONS: 1. Wearing the enclosed gloves, open the bleach plastic bag. Avoid inhaling powder. 2. Empty full contents of bleach powder into the provided tub. 3. Gradually add the developer to the bleach powder in the tub. Using the brush, blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Sometimes it is not necessary to use all the contents of the developer. 4. Apply mixture immediately. Do not wait a long time.

APPLICATION: Hair should be dry and unwashed. Using the provided brush, apply the bleach mixture evenly to hair sections you wish to bleach. All strands should be saturated using the brush or gloves to spread the mixture evenly. Cover the hair you do not want to bleach with foil or a highlight cap.

DEVELOPING: Use of enclosed plastic cap is recommended through the developing process. The length of processing time depends on the natural hair color. The chart below indicates approximate timing required to bring natural hair to the pale lemon yellow stage.

    NATURAL HAIR COLOR APPROXIMATE TIMING:

Light to Dark Blonde: 20 to 60 Minutes

Light Brown: 20 to 90 Minutes

Medium Brown: 40 to 90 Minutes

Dark Brown: 60 to 90 Minutes.

Check strand every 10 minutes to evaluate lift. To do so, remove plastic cap and wipe away mixture with a damp tissue. If hair has not reached desired level, reapply mixture as before and continue processing. Do not over-bleach. Bleach can process for about two hours if hair is resistant.

REMOVAL: When desired shade is reached, take off the cap and throw away. Shampoo hair thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry hair.

  • Always perform a strand test prior to full application. Do not apply directly to scalp. Check progress every 10 minutes throughout the process.
  • BLEACHING POWDER: Potassium Persulfate, Ammonium Persulfate, Sodium Metasilicate, Sodium Stearate, Silica, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Hydrated Silica

DEVELOPER: Water/Aqua/Eau, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA, Sodium Stannate, Phosphoric Acid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I bought and used this the other day and it worked very well, I have naturally slightly dark brown hair and this made my hair mostly blonde with some orange-type hues. It did cause slight irritation on the back of my neck and ears but the redness and slight irritation went away after I washed the bleach out. I had to buy 2 of these, simply because i have medium-long, thick type hair, but if you have shorter hair/thin hair just buying 1 box would probably be fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I have black dyed hair. I used this to dye the bottom half of my hair. It did lighten it but it came out as a horrible red/orange color. Since it said it was "super strength" I thought it would work on my hair but it did not turn out. If you have lighter and not dyed hair it might work well for you but if your hair is like mine I would not recomend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best bleach kit available to the public! My favorite for bleaching my dark brown hair -- gets it all white without too much of a yellow tint or a damaged feeling. No other bleach I've tried compares. If you follow directions and use a shower cap to help the developing process, you should be good to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Takes black out My hair has years and years of black on top of it. This lightened so well. Better than I expected. I definitely will need to do another pass through but still impressed. I bought another set so I can do it again. If you have layers of black like I do, I’d recommend a stripper first. I’m going to be using that next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works quickly and easy to use This kit is easy to use and has everything you need in it. Even with dark hair, it doesn't take long to lighten. If you have longer than shoulder length hair, obviously buy two. There's plenty in this kit for short hair.

I have very thick long hair will one box bleach my whole head or should I get two boxes of the bleach kit?

No you’ll need 2 or possibly 3 depending on your hair it’s a creamy paste.

I have strawberry blond hair and I’ve been wanting to dye it for a while. Will the color stay because my hair doesn’t hold pigment very well?

Asked by: Gracelyn
This product is bleach, not dye. It will strip all the pigment from your hair and make it easier for a temporary dye to penetrate the hair cuticle.

Would this lift teal splat naturals?? I’m not sure what to use to get this color out and I hear the splat remover is extremely damaging.

Asked by: Otaku180
Splat is hard to get out, but 30 volume will lift up to 3 levels depending on how dair is your hair to begin with, also how dare the teal took to your hair it will mostly likely lighten it up but won’t remove it, also depending on you hairs health to lift it you may need to get two boxes and apply it 2 different times like a week apart, but this is for hair that is damaged already, so if it doesn’t completely lift it all out then wait a week and do it again.

I'm tempted to buy this Volume 30 because I've heard it isnt nearly as damaging as volume 40. I have natural medium brown hair. The length is just above my neck. My hair is very thin. Will it work to make it blonde so I can go a Peachy color?

Asked by: Popsicle
The best way to preview the process is to perform a test strip. The length of processing time depends on the color and condition of your hair, but we don’t recommend leaving it on for longer than 50 minutes. While processing, make sure to check your hair every 10 minutes after application to evaluate how much color has lifted. To do so, wipe away some of the Lightener in the area you want to check. If your hair is not as light as you’d like, reapply the lightener and continue processing. If your air is naturally black you will most likely have to lift it more then once as you travel through levels of color. I have black dyed hair with gray roots.  Can I use this and let it lift to an orange color instead of all the way to blonde since I want to color it dark Auburn with garni nutruisse semi permanent color?

Asked by: Biloxiblue
It is very dangerous to apply Manic Panic Flash lightening kit to hair colored with a permanent black color. Do not attempt to do this without the advice and direction of a professional stylist who can evaluate the condition of your hair. Lightening dyed black hair can be extremely damaging and result in major breakage! If your hair is dyed black, some darker MANIC PANIC dyes will give a subtle highlight (like Vampire Red for example) and will not damage the hair. Is this enough product to cover a full head of medium dark brown hair?

Asked by: Skiesssss
Thank you for contacting Manic Panic! The amount of bleach will vary based on texture, porosity, and the level of blonde you would like to achieve. In most cases, one bleach kit is ideal for a full head application on shoulder length hair. Apply Lightener to dry, unwashed hair using the tint brush provided in our FLASH LIGHTENING kits. When applying, make sure to spread the mixture evenly and completely saturate all strands using the brush or gloved fingers. Not saturating the hair enough or uneven application can lead to spotty results. When lightening the entire head, it is best to work in the middle of the section first since this will take the longest to lift. Once the hair becomes close to the desired shade of blonde, apply lightener to the roots and ends.
