  • Dust-free bleach powder Vegan formula Complete kit
Manic Panic Flash Lightning Bleach Kit is designed for pre-lightening the hair before application of the Manic Panic semi-permanent hair colors. Everything you need to lighten your hair is included in this kit: Dust-free bleach powder, cream developer, mixing tub, tint brush, plastic cap, protective gloves and instructions.
  • INSTRUCTIONS: MANIC PANIC® AMPLIFIED® bleach kit is designed for pre-lightening the hair before using MANIC PANIC® semi-permanent hair colors. Everything you need to lighten your hair is included in this kit. Please follow the instructions carefully. Tish and Snooky strongly recommend doing a strand test prior to application. (Take one strand of hair and follow instructions.)

PREPARATIONS: 1. Wearing the enclosed gloves, open the bleach plastic bag. Avoid inhaling powder. 2. Empty full contents of bleach powder into the provided tub. 3. Gradually add the developer to the bleach powder in the tub. Using the brush, blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Sometimes it is not necessary to use all the contents of the developer. 4. Apply mixture immediately. Do not wait a long time.

APPLICATION: Hair should be dry and unwashed. Using the provided brush, apply the bleach mixture evenly to hair sections you wish to bleach. All strands should be saturated using the brush or gloves to spread the mixture evenly. Cover the hair you do not want to bleach with foil or a highlight cap.

DEVELOPING: Use of enclosed plastic cap is recommended through the developing process. The length of processing time depends on the natural hair color. The chart below indicates approximate timing required to bring natural hair to the pale lemon yellow stage.

    NATURAL HAIR COLOR APPROXIMATE TIMING:

Light to Dark Blonde: 20 to 60 Minutes

Light Brown: 20 to 90 Minutes

Medium Brown: 40 to 90 Minutes

Dark Brown: 60 to 90 Minutes.

Check strand every 10 minutes to evaluate lift. To do so, remove plastic cap and wipe away mixture with a damp tissue. If hair has not reached desired level, reapply mixture as before and continue processing. Do not over-bleach. Bleach can process for about two hours if hair is resistant.

REMOVAL: When desired shade is reached, take off the cap and throw away. Shampoo hair thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry hair.

  • Always perform a strand test prior to full application. Do not apply directly to scalp. Check progress every 10 minutes throughout the process.
  • BLEACHING POWDER: Potassium Persulfate, Ammonium Persulfate, Sodium Metasilicate, Sodium Stearate, Silica, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Hydrated Silica

DEVELOPER: Water/Aqua/Eau, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA, Sodium Stannate, Phosphoric Acid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great Used this, plus the ion Step 1 additive to protect my daughter's hair. I was worried about damaging her hair, so first I tried a Loreal bleach kit and soaked her hair in olive oil. Her hair barely lightened. So three days later I used this. There was still some olive oil in her hair so that, combined with the Step 1 probably helped protect her hair. We left this stuff on for about 20 minutes and her hair was still thick and shiny. I only bought one box and we mostly just focused on the top half of her hair that's most visible. Overall, I'm glad with the results. If I did it again, I'd just get two boxes of this stuff and use the additive again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well My son's hair was dyed maroon and this lightener took the color down to a very light blond. We had some yellowing but expected that with his color being so red. I'd order this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing It definitely damaged a small amount but it stripped the permanent real right out to a perfect blonde with minimum brassiness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightener I tried other lighteners with much disappointment. This bleach works wonders and doesn't kill my hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bleach doesn’t cause a lot of damage Other similar bleach kits made my hair super stringy and stink like chemicals but manic panic works fast and doesn’t do as much damage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a rip off I bought this about a month ago and went to use it today. Not worth the price! There isn't enough bleach in there to do 1/4 of my hair. Going to try and bring it back tomorrow even though I don't have the receipt anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I've ever used (Mine turned out yellowish because I haven't yet used a toner. This happens with all bleaches, especially with my hair, which tends to get brassy. Use a toner if you don't want yellow tones in your hair, after bleaching) It's super fast, minimally damaging, and the package comes with everything you need. It's way cheaper than other, lesser products, and works super well. I have short (shaved on the sides and 4ish inches on top), and very very thick hair. So one box worked well and gave me full coverage. Get enough product for your hair. WARNING: Before buying, I read some reviews where people had irriation/burning from the bleach. EVERY bleach can do this. The package and instructions specifically tell you to: 1) DO A SKIN PATCH TEST to see how you react to the formula, to make sure you're not allergic, and 2) NOT allow the bleach to SIT ON YOUR SKIN or scalp. Surprise, that irritates your skin. It's very obvious when someone doesn't follow directions, and Manic Panic isn't responsible when someone doesn't use their product correctly. BE RESPONSIBLE. If you've had bad reactions before, talk to a doctor about allergies or skin problems you might have.

Totally new to this. I've only used store dye on my hair. Want to hurry my graying hair process so going to bleach then dye gray. Should I do anything before dying (treatments, etc) and anything after?

Asked by: FUNNFINN
I would definitely take it slow trying to go gray. Your hair has to be pretty much white to go to a gray. This will require several lightening processes and a lot of down time in between to avoid frying your hair. This product worked great on my dark brown hair but still left a brassy tone which required the brass/orange remover. When I went gray about 2 years ago it took close to 7 months before my hair was white enough to take the color.

Would one box of this work for virgin dark hair? thanks!

Asked by: beefmastah
The quantity will depend on how long your hair is, also you will need a toner as the bleach may leave your hair brassy, I leave it in for 60 minutes but my hair isn’t fragile.

Does the dash lightening 30 volume bleach kit come with a bowl and brush also or just the bleach?

Asked by: Asteria33
It does come with a brush. I don't remember if it came with a bowl but I think it did. I bought some bowls at that time too so I don't remember if it did come with the kit or not but I think it did.

my hair is thick, curly, and a little bit longer than shoulder length. should i purchase 2 of these kits?

Asked by: peppermintbutler
Yes, definitely. Even if you end up with a little left over, it's better than running out before you're finished. You'll get a better idea of how much you'll need the next time you touch up your roots.

Can I use this to remove my red dye?

Asked by: KarlyG25
I recommend trying to remove as much of the color first before bleaching over it. I’ve personally been in the same situation before with a blue dye in my hair. What I did first was mix a very stripping shampoo(I used 365 brand) with some powdered vitamin c(or you can crush up tablets) and I washed my hair with it, then let it sit on my hair for a while(at least 15-30 mins) I replaced my shampooing with this, and the night before I washed my hair I put coconut oil in my hair overnight, to moisturize it because the shampoo is drying. Then once I did this many times the color was much lighter and I eventually bleached it once it was very light. I hope this helps!

I have very very dark brown hair and I want to dye it bright red. I have kind of reddish undertones and I was wondering if this would work for me.

Asked by: SophieKc
Yes. I too have very dark brown hair and it's bleached it with no problem. I was Vampire Red for years. Tip, when you have the dye (not the bleach) in put some heat on it. It will help the red stay longer.
