Rated 3 out of 5 by from I’m being generous I bought this and had it shipped to my house and when I got the box I bleached my hair ASAP. The bleach applied fine when mixed with my ion 30 volume developer. I’m being generous because I realize I have thick black hair that’s hard to lift, but it barely lifted my hair to a DARK brown. (About 2 levels) I’m very disappointed because the last bleach I used was also on my hair when it was Virgin, and it lifted my hair AMAZINGLY to a dark BLONDE. So if you have dark thick virgin hair I suggest not to use this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bleach powder at Sallys Ive pretty much tried all of the bleach powders sold at Sally including L'oreal Quick Blue, One n Only Argan Oil Powder Lightener, Prism Lites in both Blue and Purple, and Salon Care quick lite. This is by far my favorite. I have black hair and I bleach my tips to get ombre blonde. I mix in a dash of Ion Tanzanite hair color to neutralize the yellow tones, and use the Sally's brand of 30 developer. It usually takes me 2 applications to get blonde. I love this because it is dust free, works fast and it is effective. It lightens quicker and lifts more levels compared to the other brands Ive tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! :) I have almost black hair, which has not been processed in years. I finally had the opportunity to change my hair color - but nothing seemed to work. I was finally able to get great highlights with this L'Oreal bleach and 40 Oreor developer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst bleach ever I bought this to touch up my roots besides the fact it didn't do the job left my roots orange it left my scalp super delicate my skin is still peeling from this bleach. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, if you wanna bleach your hair stick to what you started with. Paul Mitchell did the work the first time & I messed up by trying this horrible product on for the touch up. You seriously get what you pay for!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Minimal Damage I was at dark brown hair almost black. Of course it was boxed dyed before. brought me to a level 6 (orange) in about an hour. Used 30 developer. Very minimal damage, however my hair is pretty hardy when it comes to dyes. My hair was soft when I was washing it? None the less I need to be a level 10 for peek a boo highlights, I'm sure another sitting and I'll be there. NOTE: I did not use this for keeping my blonde hair, nor on my whole head. I need to be a level ten for the Ion bright color dyes. I am doing purple and blue peek a boos.

I still have a good bit left Can u reuse whats left of the mixture

Asked by: Kgkg8880
When you say "good bit left", do you mean the powder? Or mixture of this bleaching powder and developer already blended together? If you have powder remaining in the packet, then yes you can definitely save this by putting it in a ziplock or air-tight container. When you're ready to bleach again, open this up and mix this with developer. BUT, if you have actual bleaching mixture (powder and developer you have already mixed together) then no, you cannot save this mixture for future use. Even if it is just a day later, the bleaching properties will not be as strong, and not to mention this stuff is toxic when left out so the mixture not meant to be saved once you've mixed it and prepared it for application. Hope this helps!

How do you use

Asked by: Taaaaaaa
Mix with the proper developer for your hair color, and apply to dry hair for minimum of 20 minutes, depending on your hair and how bleached you want it.

About how many packages do I need to use to bleach all my hair? I have normal shoulder length hair.

Asked by: illianek
2 or 3. I have very short hair and 1 packet just barely gets me by.

Does this make your hair blonde once you bleach it ?

Asked by: Savannaa
It depends on the hair color you are lightening. It does take my hair from a much darker ash blonde to a platinum in 30 minutes. I no longer use a toner. I just use Shimmer Lights purple shampoo to cut any brassiness.

Do I have to mix the bleach powder. With something else if so what

Asked by: Kawaiiwan
Yes, you'll need a developing cream. There are different levels depending on how fast you want the bleach to work and how much lift you want. You mix them together by following the instructions on the bleach pack.
