Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the ease of mixing. I wish there was a line on the tube to designate the measurements i.e 1/4, 1/2 of tube. I only use 1/2 of the tube per application. I am not as accurate without markings. This time I got more red than I wanted. When I can go into the store again, I will be able to get some in-person help. I use a bowl and a brush to apply and it is much easier and less messy than the applicator bottle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The smell! The smell is so strong like ammonia and for people with some grey roots, it only lasts like 2 weeks! I would be better off with some demi or semi permanent with less chemicals for the results I get plus they all smell nice compared to this.

I have been using 4CH medium chocolate brown and I don’t like that it has a red tint on my hair. What color would not give me that red tint? Thanks!!

Asked by: Elyssa48
I would recommend going with a neutral tone color, something like a Tobacco brown or a espresso brown color. Look for cool tones nothing warm. Chocolate is going to have warmth and give you that red tint to your hair.

I have been light golden blonde, my roots are dark, I just bought one n only6CN Dark Cinnamon blonde, will this give me red hair? or will it come out as a brown color with red tones? The sample looked brown in the store but shiny.

Asked by: StormySkie
6CN is a Copper Neutral base and has the potential to give you more warmth in your color (either a coppery or red tone) depending on how your hair takes to the color. If you are looking for a truly neutral tone with out warmth you would use a 6N. However if you are ok with a bit of warmth this color will be fine. Try a strand test if you are unsure. You do this dying a small section of your hair with the color to see how it develops so that you know your results before committing to dying your whole head.

Argon Oil changed the package and colors as well :( For the past two years I used 6T. They no longer have it. I love this dye and color. Which color now would be comparable to a 6T?  I see they have a 6CN would that be comparable?

Asked by: Nette0106
I’m not sure of the color of either of those, but the packaging should have the the color written on the box. My suggestion is to match it as close as you can to the the “new” Colors. I ordered some recently and noticed the numbers changed and just ordered whatever number coincided with Med tobacco brown. Good luck!

Asked by: leagrace
I used the 6N and it was very dark, more like a medium brown.

How do you minimize Argan Oil 4ch from pulling red & covering grey?

Asked by: Marie5150
If you want to neutralize the red tones you can add an additive to the hair color. Shop additives and fillers under hair color you can either add a cooling blue or violet additive. You can also get a hair color with a more neutral base as chocolate tends to have a warmer tone. SBS-002333 4N Medium Natural brown may be a good alternative.

My natural hair color is dark brown. I have been bleaching it, then toning as a light beige blond. I don’t want to bleach anymore, and want to go light chocolate brown. Is there a one step color to do this?  I want to use Argon oil color if possible

Asked by: Vicki5711
You can use a One N' Only Argan Oil permanent hair color to achieve this look. However you will need to purchase developer with your selected color, as well as mixing tools and gloves. However if you are looking for a kit that has all of these items already included On N' Only Argan Oil has a Fast 10 Permanent Hair Color Kit that you could use instead. Search Fast 10 Permanent Hair Color Kit or navigate to Hair color kit under the Hair color category.

Will light ash brown get rid of a brassy dark blonde color?

Asked by: Poohkisme
Ash should get rid of it but you might try a N or Neutral first. Often, I use an 8G on my hair, but it gets a little too gold for my age, so I put in 1/4 of the color measurement as 8N and it works well.

I normally use 9A what should I use in this product line

Asked by: Amey6341
I'm not sure what you mean by 9A, is it a light ash blonde? This line doesn't have that many ashy colors, but it does have 10A lightest ash blonde. But how the color develops will depend on the level of developer you use and your base. If you want to go lighter, use a higher developer, if this is just to tone, you can use a 10 or 15.
