Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't color greys I bought this a week ago and tried it yesterday. I am beginning to get my first grey hairs which I particularly wanted to address. Result...ok color, no better hydration than anything else. Hardly did anything to the greys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the color The color is really unique. It’s not silver or gray. More like a matte chrome...if that makes sense.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan of it! I bought Black Cherry last month, I can honestly say I hate this color, it washed out so fast it wasn't even funny and to top it off it came out looking orange. After the "black cherry" washed out my hair is a bright orange now, dislike this product will not be buying again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blue fell out within a week Bought the permanent blue (Tanzanite) for my daughter. Lightened her dark-blonde ends but didn't go to far as I didn't want wide-open cuticles. Color fell out faster than the semi. turned gray after 2-3 showers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and shiny! Chrome works! I've been battling with my grays for a long time. My natural hair is medium brown but I begun to use highlights in order to make it easy to conceal the grays, and using a medium blonde in my roots. But I hate the brassy color that seemed impossible to get rid of. One day I went to Sally and saw the Chrome Permanent color so I decided to try. I'm extremely happy with it! Y use it on my roots so the result is a natural non-brassy blonde, the grays look like highlights, and the rest of the hair look incredibly shiny! I keep the tone with the demi-permanent version of the Chrome once in a while, but 1+1 instead of using the double amount of developer. I also wash my hair with Ion Clarifying shampoo prior to the application of the demi-permanent in order to improve the absorption of the pigment. I'm glad I tried!

I'm African American and the only chemicals i use in my hair are colors to cover the gray. But, i also take different medications. If i want my color to be burgundy or deep plum, it always turned red gold within a couple of weeks. Help

I have great experience with ion color sealer conditioner. After dying, I prince and apply the sealer for a few minutes and rinse. Next time I wash my hair, use color treated shampoo, in makes one. Then use sealer like before and once do this every time you wash your hair. The sealer locks in the color. I go 3 months without dying and only my roots show. I have 60% gray but 0% after dying. I am a wild thing so I use ion permanent intensive shine colors. Sapphire, purple, midnite blue black, teal, etc. This granny may be old but her hair rocks!!! Best wishes

Is Chrome a light grey or a dark grey shade?

Asked by: Brie1199
It is a light greyish color. My hair was a medium brown when I used it and it came out fairly light, but I suspect if you have light hair it would be pretty light

Hair was done Chocolate and silver at salon. Of course silver washed out to platinum within two weeks. Will the chrome permanent dye color only the platinum ? Or will it also effect the brown?

Asked by: Tanya tyson
Firstly, I love the color combination. All hair color fades, I'm not surprised the silver faded to platinum in 2 weeks. Honestly, I'm not sure if the Chrome will effect the Chocolate. I'm thinking the Chrome has a blue or violet base which should not effect the Chocolate because I'm sure the Chocolate has either a natural base or a violet base to match the Silver. I'm a processed red head, I have difficulty keeping my color vibrant, also. Just remember that it doesn't matter to the rest of the world that our color fades, because even faded it still looks great. Only we can see the difference. Be carefull not to over process your hair. Roux has grey colors that you can put in your hair that wash out with 1 wash, if you wanted to liven up your silver color once it fades. Good Luck :)

Is this chrome color like a white are grey

Asked by: Carmen Jones
I'm not sure what your question is. The creme color in the image is a "Permanent" color which will cover grey very well. Permanent color covers grey the best.

How does it cover grey hair

Asked by: Lydia440
The red I use initially covers it although it turns out a lighter shade. The "highlights" still look okay, but they only last about a week before the grey comes back in full force.
