  • Mix Ratio: 1 part haircolor, 2 parts developer. Lighter than natural shade, first time application: Develop for 15 minutes, check, then process up to an additional 15 minutes or until color is even. Darker than natural shade, first time application: Develop for 30 minutes, check, then process up to an additional 15 minutes if additional coverage is needed.

Tips for achieving optimum coverage on gray hair:

    1. Select a shade level 8 or darker for best coverage; Lighter shades will create a translucent effect.

    2. Shades from Natural or Gold Family will produce a more natural result with optimum coverage.

    3. Mix with 20 Volume Well Color Charm Developer

    4. Apply generously starting at the area with highest percentage of gray or most resistant.

    5. Process for 30 minute, extend to 45 minutes if needed.

    6. For better coverage on hair that is more than 50% gray, use a fashion shade from the Red Family and mix with equal parts of Wella Color Charm Natural or Gold shade at the same level.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not my normal color, but a good alternative. I ordered this color because my normal color (9NN) was not an option, however, I can always find it at the store. Strange.......

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not dark ash blonde Terrible! This has burgundy reddish tones. Left my roots orange whereas they are normally dark ash blonde. Buyer beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review on Color I love the color it looks like my natural hair color before all the chemicals got into my head. Only thing is that I wish I would have kept it on my head longer so it could be darker.

Does Wella Color Charm 7W Caramel cover gray roots?

Asked by: Anonymous
No it does not. You’ll need to mix in a certain amount of 7n depending on the amount of grey. So you’ll get the 7w if you add some 7n for Grey coverage

I have bleached blonde hair. Probably like a 9. And I want it closer to my natural hair; light brown. When i dye my hair back to brown I get a tint of green in my hair where the blonde was. What color is close to light brown and how do I take green out?

Asked by: Jaclynmarie44
Because you have bleached your hair blonde, you have removed the natural red tones from your hair. In order to get a nice brown without the green tones, you'll have to add the red tones back to your hair. Use a toner with red tones in it and then use the light brown dye of your choice.

I’m purchasing Color Charm Permanent Liquid Hair Color cinnamon brown. Do I need to purchase a toner ? If so what is recommended?

Asked by: Aimee1281
You don't need a toner unless you want to neutralize unwanted warmth after coloring. You do need to purchase developer at least 20 Volume for most permanent hair color applications. You will also need gloves and applicator tools. For professional advice on this product please contact the Wella Help Line 1-866-722-4146. Can I mix colors that add up to 12 to get discount price

Asked by: Sharon06
I have never mixed the colors. But I don't see why not as long as they are the same brand. I would contact customer service and ask them. Sorry I wasn't any help.
