Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vibrant color at first, but fades to quickly. Looked more red than magenta & faded quicker than Arctic Fox or Manic Panic. It was a nice vibrant color, but faded in 2 weeks even though using J.F. Radiant Red Boosting Shampoo

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works I bought this product a few weeks ago. It really lifted my hair and was the exact color I was going for. 1 thing I didn’t like is for this to be permanent creme after every was the color does fade more and more so you have to recolor more often than I would prefer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as advertised I had high hopes. My dark brown hair turned pink. I took my first shower and dye ran out. My husband says that's normal. I looked it up and it is normal for the first few showers. We are now on shower 10, it's still running out of my hair. Not to mention that when I sweat outside the dye runs onto my neck and clothes. It's now noticeable that my brown is showing up through our my hair. I expected roots but not the full body of my hair. I dyed it in June. It's only July. It's supposed to be permanent. Instead everytime it gets wet, the color runs out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Use with CAUTION! I bought this because I wanted copper hair! Although I love the end result, my hair was damaged. The ends were super dry and lifeless, even though, prior to dying my hair I had healthy hair. Definitely recommend if you want vibrant hair, but try not to leave it as long ends will get damaged!

I’m trying to figure out what or how much dye to buy now that the color I initially dyed it with has faded. I dyed in October my roots have grown & dyed hair is copper brownish

Asked by: Ifxms23H
It depends on your hair type and absorption. If you have a lot of thick, long, dry hair that absorbs color it will take a lot more than 1 box. Shoulder length or shorter is usually 1 box for reference, but I always buy more than I think I will need because every client is different. You can always use it later for root coverage or return it.

Everytime i wash my hair, or brush it the color comes out. On my hands, in the tub! Why is it doing that and how can i stop it?

Reds will ALWAYS bleed unfortunately. Wats to reduce this from happening are: - use a protein filler on your hair just before dying, or mix it directly into your dye.  - only rinse in very cold water, you’ll see a huge reduction in how much is rinsing out.  - color safe shampoo & conditioner are a must for reds, or any vibrant color in my opinion.  - reduce how frequently you wash your hair. I have very bright colors in mine, and it only gets washed every 3+ days; dry shampoo is your friend.  You’ll likely notice it on your pillows and sheets too if you go to bed with wet hair or sweat at night. I use a black pillow case for this reason

I need to keep refreshing my hair color as it fades but I don't want to continue using this besides for regrowth because of the lightener in it. Any other good dyes to replace the magenta that are not to rough on hair? Thanks!

Asked by: Alishall
Have you considered using a semi permanent hair color or a colored conditioner to use to brighten your colored hair between root touch ups? These types of hair color are deposit only and are very gentle on hair and will deposit easier on your previously colored hair for a boost of color.

I dyed my hair 2 months ago. I used magenta and red but it has faded and I want to dye it again and have the same color I had. Should I use the same Magenta and red or just magenta?

Asked by: ParisHern
If you want your hair color to be consistent with your previous color use the same products. If you are looking to change the color that you are using note that the previous faded color will affect the total outcome of your hair color. Perform a swatch test on a small section of your hair to see how your desired colors will affect your faded hair color and new growth.
