Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Very vibrant, easy to use. It didn’t leave my hair feeling damaged, and I really enjoyed not having to bleach my hair to get it to such a bold color. The only downside of this “permanent” dye is that it washes out and fades rather quickly. But I use a color depositing conditioner to keep the color rich between dyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Really great hair dye, the magenta looks way more pink at first but will die down after a while. If you use these particular dyed use John Frieda's shampoo and conditioner for red hair, it works wonders and has protected my hair. Using the shade "red" is the perfect red color for hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from gets the job done My favorite color brand. This brand gets the job done for sure. The red its intense and i feel like it doesnt damage my hair. I use a developer 20 and my hair comes out super red.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product but shipping not so much.... The product is great but I paid extra for expedited shipping and it took 2 weeks to get my package. I understand the state of the country slows shipping but don’t offer 2 day shipping if it’s not available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked better than expected! I wanted to do something a little more adventurous because... you know, quarantine. So I had seen a YouTube video using this product. I’ve always used reds but never really get a bold color it always is a safe reddish-brown. After watching every video I could find I decided to go for it. I did a mixture of red, magenta, and the L’Oréal chroma in sangria. I used a 20 volume developer because my colored hair is fairly light and knowing this color would lift my hair I didn’t quite know what to expect. I would say my hair was about a level 5. I LOVE how this turned out!!!! It is so bright and bold in the sunlight and kind of a dark cherry color indoors in darker lighting. My roots did take a little lighter than the rest of my hair even after doing them last and mixing in more of the sangria, so be kind of careful of that. I don’t know how I can recreate this same shade without lifting my hair even more and getting a brighter red so if anyone has tips please share! Overall, 10 out of 10 for achieving my expected result! I knew it was kind of a gamble but it TOTALLY paid off! I hope it sticks!

What would you use to retouch after dying the first time since its lightened? The first time using 30 or 40 developer. Anytime after that would you still use that strong of a developer or would you use a 10 or 20?

Asked by: Anonymous
I always kept using 30 developer even in my retouches.

Do you guys have any other colors like this so that you don’t have to bleach your hair ?

Asked by: Vickiiy2
They offer coppers, blondes, and reds in the L’Oréal line. This is  the only high lift line that deposits that I’m familiar with. I don’t think there’s another line.

Should I buy 30 or 40 developer? My hair is naturally dark brown/black and thick. It is almost virgin again now but the ends were last dyed dark a year ago to cover up faded balayage. I want it to be vibrant but not fire engine red.

Asked by: michelle722
Hi! My hair is dark dark brown almost black. I got the 20 vol developer and used the hi color in magenta and it turned out a raspberry/dark cherry color which was exactly what I wanted. If you have any other questions and need me to specify anything just ask, I got you. Just so you know, if you use the red, when it fades you’ll have the brassy copper undertones if you use magenta you’ll have pink undertones so it just all depends on the look you’re going for.
