Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a Pretty Color I loved how the color came out! I was going for a burgundy color so I chose the Magenta based off of results I'd seen from YouTube. At first I was going to mix it with one of the violets to give it a more purple tint but decided not to and I'm actually happy I didn't. It's really pretty and I've been getting compliments on my hair ever since I dyed it. I did leave it on a little too long at the top (even though I purposefully left the top for last to avoid this) and it is a little brighter than the rest of my hair but it's still nice especially since is my first time permanently dying my hair myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Red EVER! I have been dying my hair red for YEARS on and off and I have always always ALWAYS used this red. I have dark brown, almost black natural hair color, and this dye always makes my natural hair look like elmo and I love it so much. I tell everyone about it! I only wash my hair about once a week and it stays bright for at least 3 months before I have to do it again. I absolutly love this product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love This Brand This is the only Brand for the color that I want that works on my hair. The one of the only Brands to lift my dark natural color or even through black hair dye. I don't even need bleach. Would recommend this to anyone with dark hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From dull black to stunning red hair At first I was a little bit skeptical about it, if it really could color my virgin black hair red without bleaching it but amazing it did. So happy!

I have dark black hair on my roots and a caramel balayage mid way. I want to dye my hair with hicolor hilights in magenta, should I still use a developer for my light brown/caramel hair or only for the roots since its meant only for dark hair?

Asked by: cthiru24
Do not and I repeat do not put this on your lighter hair. You will have two different shades of red. I made that mistake and it was very hard to fix. Maybe instead get it lightened professionally for the same color and use a different red.

Is this meant to be only for hi lights in your hair?

Asked by: Liljanaw
I've been using it for all over color for many years. I have naturally dark brown hair. And the regular dye just would never get it as bright as I wanted. This does!!

I have black box dye hair from about 2-3 months ago. I want my hair to turn out a dark red/burgnady. Will it turn out that way if I dont bleach it or use color remover? My curent hair is a brown/black. If I use 30 vol. developer, will it work?

Asked by: Lauren018
Absolutely, I have dark brown hair and have been using this hair dye for about 6 years now & ive never had to bleach my hair. It always comes out the bright red/magenta that I want

How long does loreal hicolor magenta last

Asked by: Anablack
Depending on what kind of shampoo you use and how often you wash your hair. Mine can last longer than 2 months, using color care shampoo and red enhancing conditioner. Washing hair about 2-3 times a week with cool water.

I just used loreal hicolor permanent dye a week ago and it turned out more burgundy I really want bright red. Can I use the hicolor hilights in red to make it bright? And how long should I wait to redye?? ** Side note this was my first time ever dying my

Asked by: Crystalshyne
Most would advise you to wait a few days to a week at least. Once you use the red, sometimes the semi permanent red from ion helps keep it vibrant without harming the hair too much.
