Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stick with what you know I bought chi color for the first time. I bought 8n on the hair swatch before they put the color on they are white. And 8n in chi was like a mocha Carmel. It wasn't too dark and it wasn't too light. I actually thought this was kinda dark for being an 8. Needless to say I had bleached hair with a half a inch of regrowth (which the swatch was almost identicalto my natural hair). I colored my hair with chi and it only took to my blonde. My regrowth and baby gray hairs are still there and my hair is dirty blonde. I would not recommend this color. I stepped out of my comfort zone trying this. Its a waste of money.

How do I use this one.is it just this or is there more.someone gave this part to me and I was thinking about doing it but I'm not sure if it's just this and or how I use it.

Asked by: Alicia20
This hair color can be used as a semi, demi or permanent color depending on the developer that you use. For semi-permanent don't use any developer just the color. For the demi color use 10 volume and the Ionic Color Lock Treatment. For the permanent color use 20 or 30 volume depending on the condition of your hair and how much lift you want to achieve. For best results if you can afford it use the Olaplex treatment before or after the color. If the Olaplex is too expensive for use do a protein treatment .

Can these be used as just a toner?

Asked by: TanyaRenee
I think so, however when i've used this color line they have come out darker so I would recommend going up a level lighter than the desired shade and maybe not leave it on as long.

I have a lightest blonde with gray I bought 8g medium golden brown what color will it be

Asked by: Nenepoo9
It depends on the developer also your lightest blonde doesn't help are you a level 7,8,9? You need to know your natural color level and gray percentage. 8g is a medium golden blonde not brown if you are looking for gray coverage I wouldn't just use a 8G. 8G is a level 8 with a gold/yellow undertone.

Ionic Shine Shades 11A Extra Light Ash Blonde, my hair has been dyed with light ash blonde and then with medium ash blonde dye For brassiness. still brassy so I used t18 toner, nothing. If I use the 11a will that lighten and remove brassy tinge.

Asked by: Taraeleb
I bleached my roots and then used 11A over my whole head which had highlights and my natural shade which is a med brown and had a lot of brassy. I then used T18 with 10 and 20 developer mixed, left on for full 30 mins. It came out pretty good. I am going to do another T18 next week to correct a few spots here and there from the bleach but you should have no problems if you just used dye. Follow up with T18 mixed with 10/20 equally.
