The line professional stylists have trusted for years. ion Color Brilliance Permanent Hair Color makes it easy to get extraordinary, long-lasting, salon quality results at home even better. The luxurious Italian formulas are made to be especially gentle and protect against damage. The Color Brilliance Permanent Liquid Hair Color pallet consists of luxurious shades with advanced ionic technology that utilizes pure ionic micro pigments for deeper, more intense color deposit. Ionic wheat germ protein, nourishing botanical extracts, and low ammonia help ion Color Brilliance penetrates the cuticle layer of the hair and lodges in the cortex, ensuring 100% flawless gray coverage.

Superior quality and proprietary blends are formulated in Italy by ion's expert team of chemists to deliver unparalleled results. The unique system combines the finest quality natural and exotic ingredients with powerful high-tech compounds to achieve exquisite, brilliant color with superior gray coverage. ion Hair Color science relies on the power of micro-pigmentation—ion's microscopic pigment molecules oxidize slower, allowing them to penetrate deep into the cortex of each hair strand for long-lasting, fade-resistant color.

These formulas are PPD-free and enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, Argan Oil, Pequi Oil, and botanicals to nourish and strengthen hair from within. Not to mention, ion Hair Color is gentle on hair, containing up to 38% less ammonia than the leading professional brands on the market. Unlock your hair’s true potential with Ion’s cutting-edge, salon-quality color science and bring home vibrance like never before.
  • Permanent hair color chemically alters the natural pigment of the hair—permanently—by lifting (lightening) the natural pigment in your hair and depositing the permanent hair color you selected in its place. Using permanent formulas means your color will remain until your hair grows out (aka your “roots” start showing), you cut it off, or you remove it with a hair color remover.

1:1 mixing ratio. Two ounces of color to two ounces of 10, 20, 30 or 40 Volume ion Sensitive Scalp Creme Developer. High Lift Blonde series is mixed 1:2 ratio: Two ounces of color to 4 ounces of 30 or 40 Volume ion Sensitive Scalp Developer. Bowl and brush application is recommended. Always read the product packaging and inserts for complete directions, instructions, and warnings, and make sure to perform both the strand test and the patch test before applying your color.

If have never colored your hair and you want to change your current hair color or you have not colored in 3 months or longer follow these steps: Apply hair color mixture to dry, unwashed hair • Work gently through hair as you would a shampoo. Loosely pile hair on top of head • Process according to manufacturer’s directions. When processing time is complete, add a small amount of warm water to hair and work into lather • Rinse until the water runs clear.

If you color your hair every 4-6 weeks with a shade of similar tone and level follow these steps: Make 1/4” partings throughout dry, unwashed hair • Apply mixture onto new growth area only, working from the front to the back of your head. Leave color on new growth area for 25 minutes. When processing time is complete, add a small amount of warm water to hair and work into lather • Rinse until the water runs clear.

Other tips: Always perform a strand and patch test • It is often not necessary to refresh the ends of the hair on every permanent hair color touch-up application • For resistant gray, use 20 Volume ion Sensitive Scalp® Creme Developer and apply to gray area first • Apply a stain barrier cream around the hairline prior to application when using dark shades • Choose a lighter shade than desired if you are unsure of which shade to use or if you have very few gray hairs • Use an old towel to protect your clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice coverage Nice coverage, did not stain my skin also. Would not call this a Blonde though, more of a red. Might be due to my natural brown hair giving it too much brassy highlights. Very beautiful regardless.

How to used this product? I bought the 7nn medium intense blonde. Do I need to mix it with the hair color cream?

Asked by: Claire22
You need to mix it with a developer. I use 20 sensitive. I use equal parts of color to developer. I use 1 oz.of each for use if doing my roots with a comb through.

What result would I get if i combined 5R and 5RC...like a half bottle of each? I currently use 5R and add a dab of blond into it so it's not so bright

Asked by: Rena1975
It may be slightly darker than adding a dab of blond.  However, I use the browns and red browns and with my hair type, they fade fairly quickly.  I believe you will be ok because it’s in the same family of colors.  As you know, depends on hair type, current color and if your hair is very porous or damaged.

What volume developer would you need I'd going from an almost faded out blue to ion 5rv light burgundy brown

Asked by: Colorquestion
It depends on how faded the blue is. If the blue is lighter than the shade you’re changing to, a 10 column is fine since you are only depositing color. If the blue is darker you will first need to lighten it before the new color.
