Rated 3 out of 5 by from doesn’t work well on dirty blonde i have dark brown hair and bleached my hair twice thinking it would be light enough for this color but it wasn’t, it kinda just toned my hair a bit. i’m assuming it’s a nice color based off reviews but your hair has to be super light in order for this color to show.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Light Pink Color The color is light and pretty. It didn’t dye the ends of my hair but that’s because there was too much damage with everything I’ve done to it lately. Lol just make sure you lighten your hair as much as you can beforehand and condition well!

Asked by: Jlemaster38
No developer needed, it’s a conditioning hair dye

I have dark golden reddish blonde to light brown hair. I was looking at Purple Rain. Will I have to bleach beforehand?  If so, what color would i NOT have to bleach my hair for. Thanks.

Asked by: Chrissy830
If you are going for a dark purple you should be fine. But if you don't want to bleach do not expect any vibrant color as you need a very light base to get vibrants.

Does this color work on gray hair? I have enough that could give it a streaky look if the color sticks to gray.

Asked by: Helen737
It should! I've used it overtop of dark blonde/light brown hair and it worked. The color won't be QUITE as vibrant as it would be on bleached or platinum blonde hair, but you should get nice streaks of color or a neat multi-tone effect.

Will this color leave any type of color pigment? So question is If I have used Artic Fox on my hair and think its all faded out but go to bleach it will any of these pigments show up?

Asked by: Anonymous
Semi permanent hair color will deposit a pigment into your hair. However most colors will not show up in black or very dark brown hair. How pigments show up after the product is faded and bleached will depend n the intensity of the pigment and the intensity of the bleach used on your hair.

Will this come out easy after a few washes

Asked by: Ug ty tyvty
Some of the colors, more than others. If it has a lot of blue in it, such as one of the green shades, it will leave a blue tint in bleached hair that literally has to be bleached out of it. Others, in the pink and red categories, will fade, but relatively evenly, so they age well, and become more pastel over time. Ditto for the violet and purples shades. Hope that helps!

My hair is naturally dark brown do I need to bleach my hair for the black hair dye? I’m young so I really don’t know.

Asked by: Deaththekid
For dark brown hair you will need to use a lightener before using a semi permanent bright color in order for the product to show up.

So my hair in the back it a  dirty blonde / light brown and the top of my hair is  dark brown /black would I have to  bleach it

Asked by: Anime7613
Honestly it depends on and how vibrant you want the color to be. If you're okay with the color being a little bit muted then I don't think that you'll need to bleach it. But it will be more vibrant on the ends of your hair then on the roots. Also if you don't bleach it the ends wash out much quicker than the roots so the color might be inconsistent throughout. If you're doing it yourself and you're not an expert at bleaching or don't have that much experience than I wouldn't recommend going to bleach it yourself and I would just try it without and see where you go from there have fun
